It has been some time since the Dark Lord made himself known to the Austrian wizarding world. His DeathEaters have been roaming the earth, striking fear in the hearts of wizards and muggles alike. The Ministry’s across the world are turning to Austria for help, for advice on how to take care of their unwelcome guests. Minister Wagner has been newly appointed with the hopes that he will find a way to rid the world of the Dark Lord and his DeathEaters. He brings with him a fresh perspective and a good track record of completing anything he sets his mind to. This change in leadership has Austrians excited, hoping that soon they will be able to walk out of their homes without any concerns of a Dark Lord, no wondering where he will strike next, if at all.
Because that is the question on everyone’s mind. It has been a year since the Dark Lord himself has made an appearance, since he has launched a large attack on the world or made an attempt at overthrowing the Ministry. Most people have assumed he was in hiding, allowing his DeathEaters to do his dirty work. However, as the activity of the DeathEaters slows, rumors are spreading that the Dark Lord has resigned himself from destroying the Ministry. Even his DeathEaters are beginning to grow tired of wreaking havoc with no end game. Is he trying to lead the wizarding world into a false sense of security with the recent calm or has the Dark Lord really left?
Only the DeathEaters now know the truth. There is a new Dark Lord. Godfrey Dunhill has taken his place as Dark Lord, overthrowing the inactive Darren Morgan. Even though he has just come to power, he already has a plan in the works. Soon he will make his name known. Soon he will show the wizarding world across the globe that he has no intentions of losing. But what does he want? What is it that he’s looking to gain? And, the ultimate question. What side of this battle will you choose?
It's probably a bit of a surprise to hear from me after quite some time, but you know me, I just prefer to keep you on your toes. The Ministry has kept both me and your mother very busy lately, and it's been some time since you've heard from us. Obviously, there's much catching up to be done between us all. We've been informed of Kaydence's soon-to-be graduation from Galaxia and you can trust we'll be attending. It'll be a great day for the Morgans and one I simply couldn't imagine missing.
Reconnecting with both of you has been something long overdue, and this ceremony will be the perfect opportunity to do so. I'm simply informing both of you now so you're not too startled for your own good. I do hope you're both doing well. It's been far too long, something that will hopefully soon be remedied.

Father,
It is so refreshing to hear from you after these past couple of months. Has the Ministry work really been that straining and time-consuming? I recall you telling me about how hectic it was at the family Christmas party but I didn't realize just how demanding it is. I am extremely pleased to hear that you'll be attending my graduation ceremony though. I admit that I would have been rather disappointed if you weren't able to make time in your schedule for your eldest daughter's graduation. I've been at Galaxia for far too long now and I'm ready to break free from its binding chains and put my name out there in the world. Who knows? Perhaps you'll be seeing me around the Ministry if I take that internship that Darren has been urging me to try for. I know that both you and mother have requested for me not to do so but I really don't believe it would be that bad. Besides, it would only be for the summer.
I'll discuss this with you after the graduation ceremony. Would you be interested in meeting with me for lunch sometime after the ceremony, and then perhaps paying as well? I believe that it would only be fair considering it'd be a small graduation present. I know its early to ask, but you know what my own schedule is usually like. We Morgan's are such busy people after all. Its always better for me to plan in advance.
Darren is away for the weekend as he seeing some of his...friends working over in Russia. I believe its safe to say that he'll want to respond back to your letter once he gets back so I will make sure to let him know that you wrote.

Father,
I apologize for my delayed response. I have returned from Russia no more than fifteen minutes ago and was handed your letter as soon as I apparated back into the Manor. I decided to waste no further time in writing you and making you wait for my response.
Seeing my old friends again was quite refreshing and needless to say, much needed. Being able to catch-up with them and ask them about how their lives have been progressing in difference to mine was rather satisfying. I may have even been able to get a firm lock on a few close relationships with the friends that do not make want to strangle them everytime I have to speak with them. It'll be a benefit to have these close friends in my life once again.
I'm glad to hear that you have been keeping busy yourself. I take it things are going well at the Ministry then? If so, then that is excellent news. I hope we will be able to catch-up on one another's doings while you and mother are in town. There is much that is needed ot be discussed due to our lack of communication lately. I also hope that you will be able to grant me some time in your busy schedule so we can do that...what is it called? Father and son bonding? I believe that we would be most comfortable in the gathering room of the manor if you are able to find the time. We will be surrounded by plenty of alcohol and I have no doubt that it would come in handy.
Your seats have been reserved for Kaydence's graduation. We'll see you then.
From the sound of your letters it seems as if you're going along quite well on your own these days. This is good news for both myself and your mother who has found herself reading your letters on more then one occasion. The work at the ministry has been quite tedious as the days progress but it’s keeping the two of us up to date which can’t be complained upon. Kaydence, the thought of you coming to join us here is something I can’t say I enjoy. Your mother has frowned upon this idea as well, seeing as we don’t want you having issues such as these in your life. Joining the ministry just so happens to be the main thing I demand you stay away from. But, at your request, we’ll discuss it at a later date, but don’t expect it to be a happy conversation. We’ll have to have it somewhere private.
As far as lunch, if you wish to waste your one graduation gift on a lunch, then so be it. We’ll set up a date when we are both able to make it and I will make sure the check comes directly to me. But one thing if we do have this lunch, wear something that makes you my daughter. I don’t need glances from others as if I’m doing something unthinkably terrible. You remember the last time we had an issue of the sort.
A delayed response from my only son is much better then no response at all, I must say; even better that you have your life in order. The fact that you have friends that remain loyal to you is something I could only hope would happen for you and Kaydence both. Wonderful to know you have someone to go to if something just so happens to go wrong. Not to mention someone that you won’t… well, you can finish that on your own.
I must admit, though, it’s quite refreshing to hear you both so enthused about meeting up with your mother and I when we arrive in town. Lunch along with father-son bonding time sounds like enough for us to get caught up on with each others lives, wouldn’t you say? We’ll have to plan out those dates as soon as possible so I can notify the ministry of any days off I may need to take. Merlin knows how they’ll react to losing me for a day or two.
We’re anticipating the arrival of the graduation date, so we shall see you both there, no late arrivals.
