Apollo had told her they were all going to be just meeting up at the party itself, that he had some business to attend to first, something to get for them. She should have questioned it further, she really should have- but she was just so tired of everything in general. Was willing to for apparently whatever reason to just let Apollo arrange everything for the three of them. And somewhere in the back of her mind while she'd been getting ready she could hear her brain whisper 'first mistake'. She had at least, with the memory of him telling her not to wear black, selected just that color of dress out of her closet- telling herself the whole time that it wasn't throwing a fit it was proving a point, that she wasn't totally and completely letting him decide everything for her, she was still making her own decisions... Telling her not to wear black... It wasn't even her standby color, wouldn't have been the color that she had sought out of her selection above all others- she had a blue dress in there that she hadn't worn to any school functions ever that she would have put on first. Most of her dresses were colored actually- what few she brought with her to the castle each term. It was only two that she'd had to choose from, the first way too long to be considered a 'party' dress at all. Actually- if it hadn't have been for the fact that she was so out of sorts and everything up in the air as it had been- added to the commentary from his royal pain in her derriere... she probably wouldn't have worn the dress at all. It wasn't anything like what she normally wore out, clung to her in places that she was only just now becoming comfortable with having- sleeveless in a way that before this past year she never would have been able to wear... This would be, if she thought about it- which of course she hadn't really been doing, the first real time that the three of them had hung out since things had gotten so weird, since everything had been spoiled as it had been by … she couldn't even pinpoint it on one incident alone. It was just like everything that could possibly go wrong between the three of them had. Fingers paused to push at the black lining her eyes. Pull away some of what had become too much. She looked like a friggin' raccoon. She was so bad at this. And she only had so long before she would be too late from the time that Apollo had given her- and she was so familiar with the consequences of that. They weren't two to wait that long on her, it wouldn't be the first time she'd managed to get somewhere late enough for the both of them to have found other ways to distract themselves. Nope, nope, nope. No thank you. Apollo had promised her that tonight would help fix things, get them back to normal, or as close as was possible. That meant not providing any more reasons for things to become any more convoluted. Her eyes ran over the jewelry once, discarding the option to put anything out of her usual on and allowing her eyes to linger once on her expression- eyes a little to wide in the mirror as she looked back, brow just a bit too pinched. Stress, her face didn't carry it well.
Most of her dorm was either already out or sleeping, leaving her to trip her own way down out of it and the common room entirely, coming to a complete halt at the sight of Apollo leaning up against the wall leading up to it- smug smirk already in place. He had said they were going to meet her there- she'd been all prepared for it, for walking there on her own. She almost slapped at his hand when he reached it out, pulling on her fingers until she was standing next to him. “You said---” her voice caught in the back of her throat uncomfortably when he straightened, almost stepping into her with the motion. He'd been doing that a lot lately. Playing with her physical boundaries again. It would be more annoying if he'd do it more when she expected, when she had time to come up with the witty replies she'd given him every time in the past. She settled for rolling her eyes instead, wrapping her fingers back around his and tugging as she turned- intent on getting to the party. Only he wasn't moving, still smirking at her like she was missing out on something important. She hated it when they did that, hated that she reacted so strongly at all- evident in the frown that pulled at her lips as she turned exaggeratedly back to him. ”Hello to you too Annette.” Another eye roll. She wasn't playing that game tonight. He was the one that had told her to expect them at the party itself. Where was Mikey even? Probably already there waiting- which left her to wonder why Apollo had been sent to collect her, usually it was the pair of them. But she wasn't going to ask. She refused. ”Oh come off of it, I had an idea-” his shoulders shrugging back as the smirk on his lip intensified. ”To make this easier.” Easier? Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as his other hand pushed into his pocket- fingers sought around until they found what they were apparently searching for- his wrist wriggling as he went to pull them back out, hand curled into a fist. “You had an idea? I thought this whole night was your idea?” He was the one who'd gone about talking her into it- telling her what not to wear and-- what was that in his hand? Baggies? Nope. She didn't do that. She knew that Mikey and he did obviously. She'd even been around when they had before. That was fine. She just wasn't that big into the whole drugs thing. Didn't trust herself on them, especially not considering the company she kept. Drinking was one thing- could be bad enough. But she'd seen how stupid the pair of them alone could act when they were on them. Had seen the things that they did. Nope nope nope. Dangerous. It wasn't until her hands moved off of what he was holding up and back to his that he spoke at all, looking more amused even than he had before. ”C'mon now dwarf... Mikey's doing it too. There's nothing wrong with them. They're just going to … take the edge off of everything.” She huffed, her free hand going to the hem of her dress- fingers twisting up in the silky material. “Mikey's doing it too is hardly the thing to convince me. Mikey's done plennnty of things I wouldn't.” Namely stupid girls. But that wasn't bitter. She was over bitter. Just like she was over that laugh of his. Darn it all.
”You want things to go back to normal? Then take them. If you don't fine- all the more for me.” His hand started to pull them back away but her own shot out to close around his wrist before she could think about it- eyes darting back down to the bags. She did want things to even out- to stop having to question what the hell it was that was going on and just... her eyes rotated back up to his smug expression with narrowed eyes. “That's it? They just take the edge off? How?” There was no way she was just going to pop one of them without knowing more. She'd been around when they'd taken ones that had them literally giggling for four hours straight. Not even able to talk. Not that they'd seen anything wrong with it- but they'd looked ridiculous. She didn't want to take something like that. Especially not in public. ”They just lower your inhibitions and make you more in the moment. Like alcohol, but without having to fucking drink yourself into a near coma.” Again, the speculative eyeing of the baggies nestled in the palm he was holding out between them. She didn't mind alcohol. Liked alcohol even... And the pills were pretty at least. Blue and pink. She wondered if they came in those colors specifically or if Apollo had had a choice. Sparkles. Were they supposed to sparkle? His fingers wiggled, jostling the two baggies there in his palm and eliciting a sigh from her. “Fine.” Just this once. It wouldn't hurt. Right? Right. Couldn't possibly. Why wasn't he laughing. His eyes were just speculative when she looked back up, lips pulling in a half- smile. She had expected something more victorious- had expected bragging even. Her fingers twitched- going for the bag herself- but he beat her to it, uncurling his fingers from hers and reaching up, stepping back away from her to open one of the bags. Bringing it to his lips and tilting his head back to swallow two of them himself. Two. Wait. “Why are there two a piece?” He chuckled, his eyes running down to the bag he was opening for her now, running the two pills between thumb and forefinger. ”They react off of one another or something. I don't know you'd have to ask Joel. Stick out your tongue.” From lecturing to demanding. He was in a weird mood tonight too, though realizing it did nothing to help her any, her eyes slanting as she looked at him with disbelief. Stick out her tongue? Please, he'd taken his on his own. She was more than capable of... ”Do you want to do this or not elf?” Reluctantly her mouth opened, her tongue sticking out more as if she were sticking it out at him rather than for him, but his hand rose anyways- index finger running along the middle of the flat of her tongue- the two caplets bursting onto her tongue- warmth spreading out from where the initial contact was made and rushing through her entire mouth.
The music pounded around them, filling the enclosed space and vibrating through her bones. Oh Merlin. She didn't know how long it had been since they'd actually arrived, or when it was that he'd pulled her onto the floor. Everything was … alert and present around her- the colors more vibrant, the flashing lights all the more present- they seemed to cut into her instead of around, their warmth sinking into her exposed skin and forcing her very molecules to vibrate in time with it. The bodies around her were blurry, insignificant- all of them pressing up against one another, bumping into them occasionally. Hands twisted on her hips, pulling her up off of the ground as a thigh slid between hers, lifted her up onto it. Jeans. She'd never had jeans between her thighs like that before, never had them scrape at the sensitive flesh as they were doing now- pulling at it with each swivel of her hips. It was.. different- her stomach filling with heat as Apollo's hands moved, down, one pausing just under the bone of her hip as the other slid around her, down to the skin just under where the hem of her dress ended, pressing into the inside of her thigh there as if to encourage her to open them more. Her head shook, forehead falling to his shoulder as her hair came to fall down and curtain her face from everything else going on around her. The tempo of the music changed again, her hips adjusting suitably in time. Her entire body felt like it was on fire, like every time the jean clad leg between hers shifted another curl of it through her system- like every tightening of his fingers around her flesh was stoking it higher. Her neck rolled, fingers sliding up from where they'd been resting on his stomach to his chest, stretching until the flats of her palms could rest over his chest- feeling the erratic beat within resonate within her skin, her own racing to match it. Floaty. That was what she felt. Floaty. Like her body and her mind were completely separate while still managing to just barely exist on the same plane. Floaty... and more connected than she ever had before. Lips grazed the top of her head, chin pushing against it shortly after, her neck shifting appropriately with the motion, turning the inside of her cheek into his chest, chin up towards the one above her. Not that the face was looking back at her- rather over her into the crowd, the hands tightening around her more extensively than before, illiciting a small gasp from her rounded lips as his head lowered slightly, mouth pressing firmly into her forehead this time, running over the space as the lips curled upwards into a smile. Smile? Smirk probably- a giggle was stiffed into his chest, fingers twitching over his shirt. Her world was lifted suddenly, feet hanging in the air above the floor as she was repositioned, flipped with her back to the stomach of the man holding her, the hands sliding down her body into different areas now- one arm almost curling around her stomach, fingers dipping as low as they could on the small of it without drifting into other territory, the other dropping so his hand could curl around her hip from his angle, pushing to encourage her hips back into movement. Something she did without thought as she felt her skin prickle, the squeezing grip on her hip bringing her eyes up- directly across from the pair of them to a familiar form. Her pulse increased tenfold, breath catching in the back of her throat. Mikey. Mikey in ~~~... her blood pounded, hands coming up to curl around the arm across her midsection, tongue darting out along her lips. The body behind her curled down, nose running along the side of her face before coming to a rest at her hair- ”Hold your hands out to him princess.” Dark and throaty against the shell of her ear- she didn't even think about it as her arms extended, palms rotating outwards towards him.
