Likes;
- Men – Though she is an independent woman, Amina loves to be around guys; sometimes even more than females. Though she doesn’t sleep around with every male she comes in contact to, she doesn’t mind trying to see if a relationship would work. After all, there’s no way of knowing if you found the right guy if you don’t take a chance on one.
- Running – Rain, shine, hail, snow, night, day. It doesn’t matter what the situation, Amina loves to run. She does not run to be prepared to run away from anything, but it’s more to be prepared to run for something if she wants it that bad. It is the quickest way to keep herself toned and also the quickest way to clear her head if something is bothering her. It’s not just a hobby but a lifestyle.
- Gymnastics – As a child she needed an outlet for all of her energy and her parents found the first thing they could: a gym. That gym held gymnastics classes for children her age. She began in those classes until she became good enough to join the competitions. Starting at the age of five she began to compete against other gymnasts. It wasn’t until she was ten that she won her first medal and has been competing ever since.
- Reading – Spare time is something Amina does not have much of but when she does, reading a good book lakeside has become a favorite of hers. If it’s raining outside and her options of entertainment are limited, she can often be found at a window seat with the window cracked so she can smell the clean air as she reads her current book addiction.
- Painting – Once again, spare time is a blessing in Amina’s life but when she’s not reading on her spare time, she does love to pull out a blank canvas and put her imagination to work. Most of her work is abstract because she can’t paint a straight line to save her life. In her opinion, her work is something that would be mistaken by that of a child but in the past people have expressed how they can feel emotion behind the brush strokes. She would never believe it if you said it.
- Cheesecake – You wouldn’t believe it if you were to look at her figure but Amina is addicted to food and her number one? Cheesecake. Hands down. The creamier the better. Cover it with chocolate, peanut butter, fruit, it doesn’t matter. She will devour it.
Dislikes;
- Fear – It is an emotion a person cannot get away from. Even the strongest of people break down when something is put in front of their face. Amina works her hardest to overcome everything that comes in her way and despite how much some things scare her, she has learned how to look at fear in the face and overcome it.
- Attitudes – There is nothing worse than trying to talk to someone like a person and they throw it back in your face with a snarky attitude. She hardly ever gives anyone attitude and does not appreciate it when she gets an attitude for no reason. Though she doesn’t give it without reason, she knows how to fight back. The last thing she will do is stand there while someone takes out their anger on her.
- Competition – Though she is a strong gymnast who loves to win medals, she does not like the tension that comes with a rivalry or competition. She likes to enjoy the game and what it means to have a friendly battle between competitors. The moment the competition gets heated and she begins to feel the other person is taking it to heart is when she begins to determine if it is time for her to step away.
Goals;
- Try everything at least one time – After all, if you avoid trying something at least once, how do you know if you like it or not?
- Conquer all fear – It is an unreasonable goal because not all fear can be overcome, but it is a goal she strives for that helps her with each passing day despite what fear it may be. It could be something as simple as eating a food she had never tried before or as difficult as jumping off of a building with a parachute. Either way, she will do it just to prove fear does not control her.
- Find the one – Every girl’s dream is to find the perfect male to be by her side for the rest of her life. Though she is young and knows it won’t happen soon, she will always be on the lookout. At this point, she is testing the waters with men and is not too picky about who she dates. One day she will find that perfect male, and not being picky is the best way to make sure she does not pass over ‘the one’.
Fears;
- Heights – Being in high up places causes a small amount of anxiety inside of Amina. It’s something she can’t control despite how much she has tried but despite having that fear, she does not let it control her. There are plenty of occasions where she finds herself in high places and feels that anxiety come on but she finds some way to get past it.
- Spiders – There is just something so wrong about a creature with eight hairy legs. She knows the saying they are more afraid of her than she is of them, but somehow she just cannot accept that. Despite her attempts to get over this irrational fear, it doesn’t work. She will use a wand to kill the thing before she touches it with a ten foot pole. Apparently some fears are just impossible to overcome.
- Death – The one fear someone cannot overcome because it is not one you can beat. Death is an empty black hole and Amina has no intentions of jumping in. Though it is a fear of hers, she finds herself not afraid of those things that could possibly kill her. It is more the thought of death that scares her.
Personality;
- Amina has a strong personality but knows how to tone it down. When you first meet her, you will see just how outgoing and outspoken she is. Speaking her mind is not a problem despite how well she knows you. Though her personality is very strong, she is not a debater. She will not argue until she’s blue in the face to prove a point. If it gets to the moment where she sees nothing coming out of the conversation, she will end it even if it means she loses the argument.
- When a relationship is formed, Amina begins to show her softer side. Though she can care for other people and accept those who are different than her upon first meeting, it becomes far more apparent when she begins to form any form of a bond. She does not critique others until she knows what’s in their heart and when you get to know her, she will convince you to show her your true self even if you don’t want to.
- She loves to be friends with everyone but will not do anything to make that happen. She has had her fair share of enemies and is not afraid to have more if it means she does not have to bend her world to fit the other person’s expectations.
- She is a goal setter, mostly small goals that can be obtained rather quickly. Amina will do whatever it takes to reach that goal, sometimes even if it means putting herself in harm’s way. She will not allow anything to stop her from getting where she wants to go.

History; To say Amina has an exciting history would be an exaggeration. Her life began as she was born into to two teenage sweethearts. They were both in the same house and with having so many friends in common, they were destined to become friends themselves. Brent had been a sixth year at an American magical institution while Marianne had just entered into her third year when the two finally realized there was more than just a friendship between them. A romantic relationship was sparked up despite the age difference and once Marianne had finally became legal, they got married at a small chapel in their hometown of Key West, Florida. It was a magical place to live and an even more magical place to raise a family.
It had taken them a long time to conceive a child due to health problems that plagued Marianne but eventually they had their first child. Amina was somewhat of a tyrant child just because of all the pent up energy she seemed to have, however it was nothing her parents held against her. Instead, they attempted to find her an outlet. The first had been karate (Brent’s choice) which turned out to be a bad idea. Though she was only four when she began the youngest class they had, she was not afraid to go against the boys. When she made one cry, they had decided it possibly was not the best sport for her.
Knowing full well they could not raise the energy-filled Amina and take care of their newest child, Adrian, at the same time, Marianne came up with another idea. Gymnastics classes were being taught on the island and it had been what Amina stuck with. It did not require physical contact with another person which meant she couldn’t hurt anyone and she was rather flexible as a child. Honing in on her abilities, she grew up as an athlete. She won competitions and trained to better herself but the competitive nature never overcame her. Instead, she did it for pure enjoyment. If someone took it too seriously, that was their problem. If they needed to be knocked down a peg, she used the gym floor to do it. After all, the best way to show someone where they stand is to be on the podium above them in a gold medal, right?
Despite her athletic childhood, Amina also put her nose to the books. She was a good student as she grew up and that didn’t change as she became more interested in the opposite sex. Her parents worried of what may happen when she had her first boyfriend but it did not take them long to realize their daughter was smart enough to know how to balance her life. Granted, her first boyfriend had been at eight and it lasted only two days, but she still proved to them she knew how to carry herself. They grew up trusting her and despite the mistakes she made every now and then (failing an exam, choosing the wrong friends, etc.), they knew they could count on her to get herself out of every jam she found herself in.
Growing up in Key West, Florida, was like a dream to any child. It was there Amina began to realize you have to conquer your fears. Her first had been that of swimming. When she was a small child, she had nearly drowned after slipping pool side and falling in. Luckily her father had seen and was able to pull her out before any physical damage had been done but the mental damage had already occurred. It took her until she was ten to learn to overcome the fear. Getting into the pool for the first time since the accident, she had begun to realize what she had been missing that entire time she had been afraid. It was that moment she determined she would overcome fear no matter what it took. That was the only way she was going to enjoy her life to the fullest.
Amina’s life droned on from that moment with nothing significant to mention. Her sixth year at school was when her situation changed. Her father was an engineer who was down on his luck with the failing economy. After being out of work for months and draining nearly every galleon from their largest savings account, he got an offer for a job. The unfortunate thing? It was in Austria. They needed someone out there to help with a project to build a new path through an undeveloped part of Austria. One of the biggest things they needed was a bridge builder which happened to be Brent’s specialty. Without question, he accepted the offer and despite him expressing to his family that they could stay in Key West and he would be back when the project finished and on vacations, the family accepted with him. New adventures were nothing her family was afraid of and Austria was just another adventure for them to begin.
