The screams around her were like music to her ears. In the short time they had been fighting, she and Centara had managed to create total and utter chaos. They had caused thousands of galleons in damage, caused the Healers at St. Everdines to have a very busy day ahead of them and instilled fear into the hearts of whoever had been stupid enough to stick around and witness their fight. Isis had only gotten a taste of the power and she wanted more. If this was only a mere preview of the perks that came with Darren’s position she was incredibly envious. This hadn’t been the first time she had caused destruction while fighting, but it had never been anything to this extent. The fact that a majority of the damage had been caused by her gave her a feeling of pure ecstasy. This was something that she could get used to. Osiris wouldn’t approve in the slightest, but this would be one thing she might have to veer away from him on. Not everything she did had to be for her brother’s approval. It helped, gave her a better peace of mind, but Isis was a big girl. She was old enough to make her own decisions and deal with whatever consequences that may have actually resulted. She was confident enough in her abilities to not be weary of worries that would flood the mind of the weak.
Time had passed and Centara had still not walked through the hole her body had created between the two buildings. Isis had a dim hope that her head had been sliced off for a falling piece of wood, or that she had been staked through the heart by one instead, but she doubted it more than anything. The bloodsucker wouldn’t go that easily. Not after everything they had already gone through. She stalked towards the open hole. A small alleyway separated the two buildings. Stepping through the hole she stood in the space once her foot had joined the other. She had just barely begun walking forward when something heavy fell on her and had enough force to roll her and whatever it was into the disaster area that was Alzubra Alley. When her head finally stopped spinning Isis glared into Centara’s smug face. A second later her head had been slammed into the pavement. The black dots that had only just started going away had come back. This time however, the confined fury within her had had enough. She managed to maneuver her leg in between the two, forcefully kicking Centara off of her. Her lower body strength allowed her to kick her legs to the ground and pull herself up without any assistance from her hands. The back of her head suddenly felt warm. Moving her hand behind her head Isis brought it back when her palm made contact with the sticky substance. More blood. Zealon had caused her to bleed twice now. This was unacceptable.
Pops from all around her suddenly filled her ears. Looking around, Isis saw that the Ministry officials had finally arrived to attempt to restore order in the damage they had caused. She recognized several of them. All of them were Aurors. It wasn’t a massive group yet but she knew they were coming. She could hear the questions coming from their mouths. ”What’s going on?” “Two women are doing all of this?” “What are they?” None of them seemed to have recognized her yet, but they were still a good distance away. They would have to inspect the situation before making their move. That gave her plenty of time to finish Zealon off. “You gonna let them scare you?” she yelled to the leech while she advanced. Isis hoped their arrival had been enough of a distraction for her. If Centara knew anything about fighting, it was that you never let anything allow your focus to go astray. Loss would be the only thing that would result from it. She was about to show her. Once the woman was only a few inches away she sent a quick straight into the ribs she had been focusing her attack on. The bloodsucker went flying backwards, landing at a crooked angle on the bottom step of Gringotts. Isis followed. She’d be damned if she let the Ministry involve themselves in their business so soon. Even as she saw one of them run in their direction to head them off Isis continued advancing. She was going to see how much further she could take their little squabble. If worse came to worse, she could always grab the bloodsucker and run off to some unknown location to finish what they started. Surely the Ministry would be unable to catch up to them.
