She listened to the woman speak to her, her voice pitying. She could feel her wand in the pocket of her coat. She could also feel the bouncy ball in the other. Moving as fast as she could, she ran to the desks and his behind one, tears still falling in rivers. She was a mess her white dress was covered with dust and her hair was frizzy and flying everywhere. She curled up under the desk. She wanted to disappear, to vanish without a trace. The tiny girl curled up under the desk, watching the battle through a crack in it.
The battle was going on around her, but her eyes followed one fight. Keara was a vampire. She knew something had been off about her. She'd been talking with a vampire. She should've listened to her mum and never spoken to her. She should've hurried away. Ignored her. But no, she had talked to the woman, and some how she was glad she had spoken to her, at least she knew someone who would help her. Closing her eyes she tried to ignore the battle around her. She tried to stop the tears. Neither attempt was working. She was bad luck. Everyone always died when she was around. First her parents, now her mum. Something, high above them hated her, she just knew it.
Clutching her wand tightly she looked through the crack in the desk, pointing her want at one of the people fighting. "Stupefy." She said softly. She wanted to help, to stop the fighting. But she was just a scrawny, tiny, little 12 year old girl, what could she do. She had no clue who was good or bad, so she tried to go with her best judgment. The man in the corner probably was. So praying she was right she sent a stunning spell at him, the put her wand away. She wanted to escape from the confines of the desk, but Kea had been very specific to say not to leave the desk. So she stayed put.
