Friends He does need a few more of these, but his circle is almost full for the time being. Pref. those who have some of the same interests as he does (Quidditch, traveling, Runes etc) He doesn't really like to talk about himself all that often, and not to anybody but the closest of his friends. He's fiercely loyal to a fault and once on his good side, he will do almost anything for you. Sorry, but due to the size of his ego, anything less than the purest of blood need not apply.

Enemies This one is fairly simple. Despite his dashing good looks, those outside of his house and family tend not to like him. Even more so now that he's begun a bit of a downward spiral because of his current situation. Something about his nose always being stuck up in the air, stealing their women or something. He doesn't associate with dirty blood, and doesn't even make eye contact with the muggle born. SO if you are either one of those, this is the place for you. Of course, it could be interesting to see somebody pure blooded be here as well. Anybody who insults his family and or turns their back on their blood will end up here as well.

Lovers - Currently Engaged to Lucinda Belrose. They are to be married at the end of his Seventh year, and also a plot under way. However, this slot is still open to those who wish to be his 'ex' or have dated whatever in the past. He isn't a huge fan of commitment but he would have needed woman to take to sporting events, dances, on outings and the like. Plus, every now and then he liked to have a pretty thing on his arm. He needs somebody that he will end up with, and the pressure from his family is on for him to find a suitable mate. Mudbloods need not apply. (Except for the occasional secret fling...but nobody knows about those)

I would love to get a thread started with you! Gryffindor and Slytherin are of course an age old rivalry but I would love to see if we could go another direction. Something a lot less... status quo. I would have no problem with them being frenemies, with the exception that it would have to be the other way around since he is very arrogant and very blood oriented. For most of his life his family has chosen his friends for him. He wouldn't feel the need to put on a front for the sake of fronting. Most of all not in front of his 'friends' Of course, if he had a reason to be kind to her (family said so, she's a pure blood etc) but I can certainly see if being much worse whenever they are alone since he wouldn't have to wonder about his reputation in private. I do have something else in mind that I will PM you about it in depth. However I can see that as a fairly easy thread. Meeting up while they are running about the castle grounds or whenever he's cooling down after Quidditch practice. He's pretty stereotypical whenever it comes to Slytherin/Gryffindor because he hasn't "grown" much as a person in his life yet. Never had a reason to. [/ul][/color]

Frenemies

Let's just state the facts. Gavin hates everything lower then pure-bloods. Alex is a half-blood. They are in the same year AND house, so they should know each others name and face. House Te Liquei has been very well known throughout the wizard world and I'm sure that an arrogant pure blood loyalist like Gavin has at least heard of the family and its purity motto. (Look at my plot page for the information).

Rumours of Alex being Parselmouth have been going around for a while. Maybe you or a friend did some research, but the Liquei Dynasty had no Parselmouths before. It is known that his mother is a muggleborn, but why someone like Louis Te Liquei would marry such a wench is only known to family members. Such a thing should at least make Gavin curious.

What happens next can be anything you want it to be. I see Gavin as smart enough to understand the power of the House Te Liquei, wanting to befriend it. Or maybe he just wants to know why such a family would go down in prestige like that. Or why such rumours surround Alex.

All in all, I can see these two become great friends over time, with some rivalry and maybe some fights here and there. An interesting relationship, if you ask me

It's not so much that he hates those below him, it's just that they are below him and he tends to avoid them if at all possible. However, being that they are in the same year/house that would lead to them having lived together for the past six years, some conversations would have been unavoidable. Since his house is (I'm guessing here) on the same level as Gavin's, they would have seen each other socially more than once. What does Alex's father do for a living? What faction have they aligned themselves with, just curious as to HOW MUCH they have been pushed together over the years. The parselmouth thing is certainly going to be interesting since it's a secret. If they aren't friends, Gavin will not be upset that he didn't know before this point in his life, but he is going to want to know more about it, jealous that he cannot do it, etc. Does Alex play Quidditch? I think there's still a spot on the team.

If Alex is going to be assigned into a marriage, then he and Gavin would have even more in common as Gavin is set to be married next year at some point. He would be very curious as to why Alex's father spat on their blood purity for some woman, as Gavin finds it to be very selfish behavior. For future purposes I do think you are right, Gavin would at least want to network with Alex, even if he can't stand him. Since it's the 'right' thing to do. I think I would have to post with you, get a feel for Alex's personality before I just say 'lets me enemies' or 'you're not so bad' if that makes sense?

House Te Liquei has a humongous treasury in its personal vaults gathered mostly by wealthy marriages. Take into account that the Dynasty almost falls under ancient status (the dynasty will be 2 millennia old on 2145) , many marriages added a lot of galleons over the centuries, making life for the head family seem like a dream for lower Pure-Blood families. The last generations never worked for their money. Unfortunately, Alex will only get access to the vault once he inherits Family Head status. Louis did tutor a small group of talented individuals in the arts of duelling, but found that they became to obsessed with power itself and stopped his little project.

The family only stands on one side; their own. Hence why they had chosen secrecy about their Parselmouth finding. There are quite some books written in Parseltongue, most revealing dangerous magic or powerful information. While they could share it with the world, making money from the ability, they don't lust for such a thing. Hell, they have enough of it. Keeping the Parsel magic and information in the family alone would be much more beneficial. The secret is bound by magic, with only two people being able to tell about it without dying.

Alex is a very skilled duellist and socially adept but has no talent when it comes to Quidditch. As for marriage, his father will select and announce his bride at his 18th birthday (16th of December). He still tries to find someone he can love before that who falling into the Pure-Blood category.

The head family is small with one pure-blood and two half bloods. (Louis, Alex and his little sister) Yet, there are many cadet branches of the family mainly living in France, Germany and Holland. There is also a small branch in Spain.

I'm very interested in seeing these two characters together. It wouldn't be weird for them to have met before they attended HG through. Think about it and tell me what you would like to do. Your suggestion of tasting each others characters is also fine with me. I'm fine with starting a topic, through I have to think of a fitting location. If you want the honours of starting it, be my guest.

Well money doesn't mean much to Gavin given that he also has so much of it, and he's always had it. It's just not something he ever even thinks about. On another note, I might have misunderstood you. You mean if Alex tells anybody that he's a snake mouth, he dies? Or is he one of the two that won't die?

Gavin is ALL ABOUT Quidditch. it's his life, he doesn't know much more than the required lessons that he's taken about it. So given that he's so into it, and all of his friends are into it, it would make more sense to me that he and Alex would see more of each other outside of school than in. Since Gavin spends his time with his teammates, or on the Quidditch Pitch. Just depends on what circles you imagine Alex running around in. Whereas, during breaks/summer/etc I can see Gavin and his mother coming to see Alex's family. However, Gavin's parents are VERY strict in the pure blood quality sense. Perhaps their fathers used to be friends? Before the marriage to Alex's mother I mean. Gavin is in the same situation marriage wise, and will be having his public betrothal announcement on his seventeenth birthday, even if Gavin keeps his personal feelings about the matter to himself.

The Dewhurst's hail from England, so they might have only run into one another during their annual travels, his mother doesn't like to stay put for very long. They do have a family house in Italy, which if just about as close as they will have gotten to France on a semi-permanent basis. Let's assume that they have known each other since childhood? Even if they weren't friends per se, it seems to make the most sense to me. For posting purposes, how well do you think Gavin would know Alex? Given that Gavin tends to be tight lipped and above casual conversation. I have a few more posts to do before I'm 'caught up' if you can start it, it will happen faster. Otherwise, I don't mind.

It's been a while since I RPed and it wasn't easy for me to start the thread. I skipped quite a lot about the manor and I'm sorry for that but I posted a picture with it to give you an idea. Feel free to describe what Gavin see as you like, including the small trophy house you can apparite in and the yards outside it. Louis doesn't know of the betrothal but wouldn't care. He's persistent to get what is best for his daughter and the family. You may also control the house elf as you like. He'll answer questions if he's allowed to give the information away. Stating the purpose of the invitation isn't a secret. Use the information you have read for questions if you want.

Alex was very honest as a child and very energetic too. It wouldn't be to awkward for Gavin to know Alex quite well, but Alex changed a lot and I'm thinking Gavin too. Hell, they don't even talk that much at school (yet).

Hi there! So by the looks of things, Minka and Gavin have plenty in common, enough to at least base a friendship on. They're both Pureblooded, wealthy Slytherins, smokin hot, and love Quidditch (I have Minka currently applied for the Beater position on the Slytherin team). From what I've read of Gavin's threads (excuse the creeping), he is very capable of holding an intelligent conversation, which Minka would like about him. I'm not quite done my profile for Minka yet, but I think that Gavin and she would get along quite well. I'd love to hash out some details with you if you're interested in friendship for them? Female friends are something fairly new to Gavin, with that being said it is possible, just will be a little difficult. Gavin doesn't form friendships lightly, and even less with females. Since he tends to 'hit it, and quit it' to put it crudely. There would have to be a good reason for them to have been friends. For example, his best friend Kariana and he literally grew up in the same houses as their parents were best friends, and it spiraled from there. He doesn't know how to handle diva 'drama', but I confess, I don't know too much about Minka as of yet. He would tolerate her in a platonic way because of the fact that they are on the Quidditch team together and that is his main passion. Whatever details that you would like to hash out I'm game, this will be a very big year for Gavin and I'm sure we can come up with some very interesting plot developments for the two of them. He certainly can hold an intelligent conversation if properly motivated. :]

Ahahah I promise you won't see too much diva drama from Minka; she feels like there are better ways to occupy her time, save for those pesky Ravenclaws ;] . I imagine with their families being who they are, school probably wouldn't have been the first time they interacted; social events are a likely meeting place, I'd say. I think Quidditch would be a good place for them to start on the incline to friendship, if you're game for said friendship? Maybe we can PM about specifics? Well then I would say that you have yourself a deal. The only exception is that recently there is a Ravenclaw that Gavin is has grown fond of. He wouldn't take teasing of her lightly, but I don't see how that would come up in just any ol conversation. Quidditch does seem like the most likely flame to fuel their friendship so that's always something to fall back on just in case.

Lucianna & Gavin : These two would know each other from the house, the team and probably have flirted time and off again.. Lucianna would probably not have stuck it through.. But they could have had a fling or two being him a pureblood and quite yummy.


Alexandria & Gavin: These two, I am sure that Alexandria would have sunken her claws into this one a time or two.. Being him being so sexy and all.. But she doesnt stay with any man for too long, and he would have been brushed off again.
