HOGWARTS GALAXIA RULES AND INFORMATION
Please read before you apply or become a member at any point!
1. All newly registered members have one month from their sign-up date to fill out a sorting application. Any members who do not apply for sorting or have not informed a staff member of their hiatus will have their accounts removed.
2. Hogwarts Galaxia does not have a limit on how many accounts or threads you can create/take part in. We have no desire to limit our member's creativity.
3. This board is rated PG-13. Please refrain from making it R. Any threads or posts found to contain extensively vulgar language or in-depth sexual posts WILL BE DELETED. Offenders will be warned through PM and deleted if such behavior continues.
4. Though we love to have new members, we do have a minimum word count of 300 words. A majority of our members tend to post at least three paragraph postings. We ask that you be considerate of your fellow posters and abide by this word count in order to give enough information for them to work with in threads. Anything less than 300 words is unfair to the poster who spent the effort and the time writing their post to be responded with anything shorter.
5. Absolutely no god-modding allowed. Any instances in which your character does control another MUST be discussed with the other poster through PM. Any complaints voiced to the administration will be discussed with you to work and find a solution to make everyone happy.
6. Please do not give out passwords for password protected boards. They have been added to keep up the consistency of certain plots, school houses, etc.
7. Our staff members are courteous and always open for good conversation. We welcome any private messages you would like to send us. However, please be respectful of us and our work and do not harass us for things like: staff/moderator placement, advertising your site (when there is an area for it), etc.
8. Bloodlines (i.e. vampires, werewolves), abilities (i.e. animagi), and rankings (i.e. DeathEaters, Aurors) MUST be confirmed by an admin. We give thoughtful consideration to every request! Also, any students below 7th year are not permitted to be animagi. Bloodlines may apply here. Animagi may apply here. Aurors may apply here. DeathEaters may apply here.
9. When posting as your character, please do so appropriately. For example, if you are a first-year, no pregnancies. Or if you are a DeathEater, you can’t just waltz into the Auror Training camp. The exception to this rule is if your character is part of a plot that has been discussed with another member. If it is a significant plot, we ask that your PM an admin just to give us a heads-up.
10. Inheritances, businesses and houses for characters must be cleared with our Gringotts goblin. You can go to the Gringotts board to find out how to go about claiming.
11. The stealing of any graphics, characters, or ideas is not tolerated at Hogwarts Galaxia. If you are found to be using any image, character or plot idea from our site on another or on ours WITHOUT permission, we reserve the right to PM that site’s admin or contact proboards to have our work removed from that site. We also reserve the right to delete your account from our forum. While it is easy to copy the work of others, it is unfair and stealing. Please don’t make the hard work of others go uncredited. You would not want someone to do the same to you.
12. The slander of HG and other sites will not be permitted. We do not want animosity between our members and/or other sites. If you disagree with the way our site is run, PM a staff member and talk to us about it. If you had a bad experience on a previous board, keep it to yourself or discuss it privately with someone. Any public postings of slander and libel WILL BE DELETED. Offenders will be warned. We have worked hard to keep Galaxia a friendly and open environment and would prefer to keep it that way.
13. Please do not create an account only to advertise our site. Our advertising board is open to all guests so you may post your information there at your leisure. We do ask that you abide by our advertising rules posted on that board.
14. All signatures must be kept under 500x500 px and all avatars within 200x300px. If an image is to be found outside of these limits, you will either be asked to resize it, or it will be removed from the site.
15. Any violation of HG rules will be notified to you through a PM. You will have one warning. If you continue to disregard our rules, your account will be disabled for a few days. If rules continued to be broken after these actions have been taken, your account will be deleted. We want to keep the site fair for everyone. No one is above another.
