Character Name: Evan McBain
Year At Hogwarts: Seventh Year
Least Favorite House: Ravenclaw
What would a typical day in your character's life be like?
A day in the life of Evan McBain, well that’s easy enough I suppose. Evan is completely infatuated with gambling. Not just card gambling, but any sort of gambling that requires betting, dares, and the occasional charm to talk people out of their money. He’s quite good at this.
Often on a regular day you can find him down around the grounds of Hogwarts trying to manipulate people out of their money. He finds it a challenge to do so, and an even greater challenge when he wins out over the Ravenclaws. He despises their brainy attitudes to a degree that screams disgust. After placing various best, and talking people right out of their galleons, Evan can most definitely be found in the Great Hall eating as much as humanly possible. This is his way of celebrating his victories against the idiots around the school. If it’s a prosperous day his two greatest passions will be accomplished. Eating and Gambling. Oh the joy of life. Without the two, Evan would be utterly incomplete.
Describe your character in 7 words or less: manipulative, competitive, charming, witty, loyal, downright fun.
A SHORT sample of your RPING (No more than 2 paragraphs please):
With the morning air crisp to his liking, Evan McBain took great strides across the wide lawns of Hogwarts. Today was going to be a prosperous day. He could feel it deep within his bones. Mostly because the previous day had been such a disappointment. He had lost his first bet to some mangy Gryffindor who won out of sheer luck. It had put him in such a foul mood that he hadn’t even bothered to go eat dinner. Imagine that! Evan McBain skipping out on a full roast dinner complete with mashed potatoes. Now that just wasn’t normal! When he woke this morning to the scent of sweet pancakes he instantly knew the day would be generous to his pocket. A make-up for the utter humiliation he felt yesterday.
His hands were shoved deep into the pockets of his trousers, and Evan’s eyes lit up immediately when he saw the same Gryffindor prat standing down by the lake. He’d make up for yesterday if it killed him. “Hey you…double ornothing on yesterday’s bet.” What was the bet he had lost? “If I can hold my breath longer than you this time I’ll shell out another fifty galleons. If I win I want my money back, and you to stitch a sign on your robes stating that ‘Evan McBain Owns You’ for one month.” Sometimes he wondered about his maturity level. “Deal?”
