What would a typical day in your character's life be like? Nothing out of the ordinary. Giovanni is a typical student who wakes up, goes to classes, gets his work done and then enjoys the rest of the time he has to himself. He enjoys spending time with friends whether its in the common room, the grounds of Galaxia or down at one of the local pubs with a pint or two. On his downtime, Giovanni will often spend it reading or somewhere out on the grounds people-watching as he finds people fascinating.

This wasn't going to go over well with the family. Releasing a heavy sigh Giovanni signed his name to the post he was about to send back home. He had just gotten back from the Sorting ceremony and as expected, he hadn't gotten into the house his family had been hoping he would. It was foolish for them to think he would though. Nothing about him had ever indicated that he would join the ranks of the important family members. He had always been the outcast. It wasn't uncommon for him to spend days held up in his room when he was back at home simply because he felt that he had no part in his family. Giovanni was frequently subject to various insults from his brothers and sisters for being so different. It wasn't anything he could help, he always tried to make them understand. It was who he was and if they were a family as they tried to insist they were, they would accept them for who he was. But they never did.
Dropping the quill to his desk Giovanni leaned back in his chair and stared at the note. All he had ever wanted was just that, acceptance. Was it really so much to ask for? It wasn't like he had dreamed he'd end up the black sheep of his family. He didn't think there was an individual out there who would. His mind had already begun to wander off. It was probably best if he started looking for apartments that rented out to younger years. Some sort of job would absolutely be necessary as well. If his family banished him, as he was expecting, Giovanni was going to have to make it on his own. These were all unfair decisions for a sixteen year old to make. He had grown up enough to know that. However, he supposed it wasn't all bad. Better to have a plan in motion then to act like his family's reaction would be some sort of surprise. Everything happened for a reason after all. Perhaps this was Merlin's way of guiding him towards the real direction his life was set out for. Giovanni always knew that he was destined for better things in life. He needed to remain optimistic.
Nodding his head once Giovanni leaned forward and folded the sheet of parchment up before turning it over and firmly pressing down with the wax seal of Hogwarts Galaxia. He waited a moment or two for the chemicals to cool down. Turning it over once it had, he wrote the name of his mother and father down in his untidy scrawl. It was unfortunate he didn't have a single family member who would take the news better than the other ones. Pushing himself from his desk Giovanni took the letter in his right hand. He opened his other one and gently smacked the letter onto it as he continued thinking. It was best if he just went ahead and sent the letter. Somehow, in his mind, it was better for his parents to receive word from him then from one of his siblings whom still had friends here, if they hadn't already. "Just do it," he said to himself, looking in the direction of the door. There was nothing to lose that he hadn't anticipated losing already. There was no sense in hanging on to something that was only going to be taken from him by tomorrow at the very latest. Accept the inevitable. Turning on his heel Giovanni moved to the door with a somber look on his face. Today was the beginning of the rest of his life. As he approached the door and turned the knob to exit and begin the long trudge to the Owlery he wondered if he was really ready for it.
