Afternoon


Well, well. I finally found this thing after weeks of looking. You cannot imagine how worried I was getting. I mean, I've had this thing ever since I turned 17 (at the beginning of the year) and I've written so much in it. I even wrote about what's been going *dark*wise. If someone got a hold of this and found out that the Darren was the Dark Lord, he'd murder me, no matter how close we were. I'm really going to have to double-lock this thing with curses, there's no doubt about that.

Anyway, school is already in the 3rd month. It's amazing just how time seems to be passing so much more now. I think SOME of it's due to the fact that I'm Head Girl. Whoever thought that there would be so many responsibilities? And why did they pick me? I mean, it's flattering to be considered Head Girl but who in their right mind would have picked me? I've been nothing but trouble ever since I came to Galaxia and met Centara and Natalie. I bet that Darren had something to do with it though, it might be part of his plan and the plan which he has told me nothing about yet.

Other than that, things have been going well. I've met quite a few new people and have even possibly found an interest...but we'll talk about that in the next entry. I met up with Shamus again when I went to Ilfracombe. It was rather enjoyable to see him again. We used ot be such good friends before he graduated.

Brother and I have used some of our money and opened up a nightclub in Alzubra Alley. It's guaranteed to be a hit, there's no question about it. We've already got staff, completely renovated the place and now all we're waiting for is the Grand Opening party. I don't know when it will be though, sometime soon...possibly this weekend. Who knows?

On a last note, DE training starts soon but Darren won't tell me when. After the DE training, he told me that he's got a big plan for all of his new DEs but once again, he won't tell me what it is. I have a feeling that its going to be pretty big though. Darren is the type of person who can never do things normally.

Well, I must be going. I'm going to go in search of some Gryffindors to curse and give detention to.

Early, early morning.

So it seems that it's been about a week and a half since I've last updated. I apologize, I've just been more busy then I thought I actually would. I didn't think that being Head Girl would mean that I had any serious duties. To me, it was just a position that made you dominate the school. You could take away points from another House for looking at you the wrong way, giving detention for stupid things, etc. but of course not. Let me tell you though, if I have to chase ONE more first year just because they think its fun, I'm going to scream...period.

Outside of Head Girl duties, I really haven't done much. I've mostly just walked around and explored...isn't it pathetic?

On a much brighter note, or notes if you will, I have a few bits of good news. For starters, I am no longer single (thank God) and have been claimed by the wonderful Evan McBain and literally claimed by more than one reason. That's a completely different story though and I won't discuss it in here. It's far too private for even my journal. I have yet to tell Darren about it though because I know exactly what he'll do. He'll play the protective big brother part and wind up cursing Evan for even holding my hand. Normally, I'd just sit back and laugh but with Evan....it's different. It's a completely different feeling that I've never felt before but it's awesome. Quick jump back to Darren though, It's nice that we have a good sibling bond but sometimes...he really over does it, I swear.

Nat, Centa and I have joined a club. Yes, joined a club. It's called the SlythGirls and it's exactly what the name states...a group of girls from Slytherin but only the most popular ones of course. We're throwing our first party tomorrow night which should be interesting, considering that its a PJ Party after all and the SlyGuys have been invited (one member of which, I happen to look forward to seeing, if he chooses to come). Hopefully it'll be a hit, wait, scratch that. It WILL be a hit. Just watch.

That seems to be all I can think of for now. I have a growing headache and I need to get some Ache-B-Gone powder before it grows worse.

Early, early morning.

Just wanted to quickly update before I left. Today is the day of Darren's first lesson and I do not want to be late. This is going to turn out to be pretty interesting and I wouldn't want to miss it.

You remember that group I wrote about that me and Centa joined? SlythGirls? Well the two of us are no longer members. Due to recent things that have been brought to our attention, we have found that we have no time to be in the group and just other reasons. I can't talk about them in here for they have a lot to do with *dark* things but we all know how that goes.

Speaking of the SlythGirls though, we at least made it to their first party. Sadly, I was extremely disappointed at how it was run and everything that happened there. The only exciting thing that happened is when Evan showed up...completely tipsy and dressed in nothing but green silk boxers, a very lovely sight if I might add. The three of us decided to do a little late-night swimming and that was just loads of fun.

Alright, well class starts in 5 minutes and I need to head over to the classroom.

Early, early morning.

It's starting to depress me at how late I seem to be staying up lately. I can't put my finger on the cause of it though and that's probably just depressing me even more. The only reason that I can give is thinking about the upcoming DE Training. That just has to be it. Everything else in my life is perfect now and nothing would really be cause for worry, right? I don't know...I've got to stop thinking about it, it's only adding on.

So let me move on to a brighter note or notes. Other than not being able to fall asleep until late, things have been going splendidly and I couldn't be happier. Evan is wonderful, still and we've constantly been spending time together which is even better. I've never had this good of a time with a guy well...pretty much ever. Its so relieving to finally have someone who is absolutely perfect for me. It really is.

Speaking of him, I should say that it seems that the possibility of an issue with Samantha Anderson rising is great. I've been hearing rumors about her *secretly* liking him. That's all its going to be, nothing more. I refuse to let that go any further. I've also heard that she isn't too pleased with me or Centara period. I can't figure out why...oh wait, yes I can.

Well that's all I'm going to write for now. I've been up all day setting up for the party and it's really worn me out.

Early, early morning.


Ah. Yet another late-night/early morning entry from me. Don't you just hate how it reveals my terrible case of insomnia? Well, I sure do. Perhaps I should stop writing the basic time in which I write my entry. No...can't do that because if I'm drunk one of these nights, it would be absolutely hilarious to see what my level of drunkenness is at the time. It's just going to have to be a heavy burden for me but luckily no one else reads this otherwise I might just wind up being terribly, terribly screwed.

Well it's been awhile hasn't it? Merlin...about 3 weeks or so. So much stuff has happened that I wish I could have written in here sooner but since I haven't, I'll just have to recap each event as briefly as I can. Briefly as in one paragraph only. You've seen how I've written in my past entries. Once you get me started on something, I can't seem to stop until I get all of that information out on this paper. And since this journal only stays in my room and is under secret security, I can write as much as I want about whatever I want and never have to worry about it being discovered. Oh the joys of being me.

-- Evan. If I were to write about the recent visit we had at the Waterfront on Ilfracombe or just how I feel about him now, the whole journal would probably be filled. Let's just say that many of my feelings that I've been contemplating on have been confirmed and I'm ecstatic about it. We're on a much deeper basis with each other now and I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful that is. Evan is just so...everything that I need right now, possibly everything that I need period. That's an entirely different story on its own though and shall not be discussed again for sometime.

- DE Training. This has been one of, if not, THE most important events since I've last written. It was earlier this month for a day and everyone did wonderfully and earned their mark, except for two but we don't plan on mentioning those. However, I was absolutely humiliated there. Darren used me as a demonstration tool for all three examples of the Unforgiveables and really did a number on me. I don't think that I had even been that angry, upset and so humiliated in my life. I know that he was only doing it for my benefit and to merely entertain himself but still. I didn't expect him to go easy on me. Hell, I told him that he better not have planned on going easy on me and as luck would have it, he didn't. My mark was well-earned and well-deserved and nobody will ever tell me differently.

-- I sunk into a week-long depression. Yes...and all because of DE Training. I let it get to my head and wound up staying away from school, anybody besides Darren or Kailynn and especially Evan, for one whole week. I also knocked off all of the liquor in Darren's alcohol cabinet and caused him to get pretty pissed about that. Oh well. He deserved it after what he made me go through. I completely isolated myself from everyone and I thought that Evan hated me because I hadn't told him about my brother. How could I though? I had made a promise to Darren that I would never tell another soul about him being the Dark Lord and I keep to my word on promises like that. Still, I felt like I still should have said something, you know? This relationship I have with Evan is completely different. I've never had anything like it before. Me and the white couch in the main living room have grown so close.

-- Annual Galaxia Winter Ball. It started out terrible. I couldn't get my dark mark to cover up for the night, I was low on alcohol and was worried about if Evan was going to show or not. When he did, I swear that I almost made a run for the door but using those secret powers that he has, he managed to get me before I could. We talked everything over, I apologized and things were fine. So fine, in fact, that we made an automatic beeline for the empty common room, got drunk, had a bit of fun and came back up to the Winter Ball for one dance. Unfortunately, nobody thought it was necessary to inform me that my brother had been ordered to come and chaperone and well...me and Evan made a fool of ourselves. Darren knows about our relationship now and to say that he is mad would be a serious understatement. The two of us have chosen to avoid each other for the next week or however long it takes for him to finally be able to talk to me about this. He can say whatever he wants to though. There is no way that he's going to break us up because its not that easy for us. Darren can gripe all he wants but if he screws this up for me, HE's going to have to be the one terrified for his life.

Geez...this turned out way longer than I had expected. That's just what I get for not keeping up-to-date I guess. So sorry. I'll try to be better about it as the new year comes.

Early, early morning....as usual.


I seem to be quite good at once a month entries so I think I’m going to stick with that unless something big happens between the month-long gap. I might make an exception to that.

Well since I last wrote nothing major has happened. I think the biggest thing that happened would probably be Jill moving into the Manor with us. On the day that she arrived, me and her had a sit-down and had a long…long conversation. I can’t really say what we talked about because once again, if this were to get picked up by enemy hands than a lot would be revealed that shouldn’t be. I’d feel horrible if anything got out so I’m taking the safe route. The most important thing that should be known is that I found out something really upsetting. Things are going to be a lot better now for Jill though, I’m going to make sure of it.

I’ve gained more enemies but is it really surprising that they’re all girls? Merlin no. They keep getting more and more jealous. A lot of this has to do with mine and Evan’s relationship. This is to be expected as well. Some people just can accept that fact that they can never have what me and Evan have and they try anything they can do to attempt to turn us against one another. They don’t realize that it’s not that easy. Just because we may not show all aspects of our relationship doesn’t mean anything. We’re doing perfectly fine and we’ll in for the long haul…whether people want to realize that or not.

Speaking of which, things have been going as perfect as ever with Evan. We’ve been bickering a bit more lately but what couple doesn’t bicker? It never is anything serious and we always *make-up* afterwards anyway. That’s something that most people can say that they can’t really do either.

Do I really even need to say?


Earlier I got bored and decided to reread my past couple of journal entries. I came to conclusions about two things: a.) I have such bad insomnia it's bloody insane and b.) my life is a very interesting one. I mean, come on. Who else can say that they have a perfect boyfriend, been placed under 2 of the three Unforgivable Curses, has a brother who's secretly the Dark Lord and still lives to tell the tale? No one. I've assured myself of this quite frequently.

So what's new in the life of Kaydence since I last wrote? A lot more than previously, that's for sure. As I stated in my last entry, Evan and I had started to bicker. This reached its maximum point a week or so ago when we met up in the D.S. Hangout. I had a horrible day and wanted to go someplace where I could get all the rest I could possibly want and try to calm myself out of the mood I was in. Apparently Evan had the same idea. Though I'm still convinced it was his fault for the argument, we got into it. And it was very bad. So bad that it resulted in a bruised shoulder for me and a black eye, fractured hand and throbbing knee for Evan. What can I say? We can't help but to be violent towards each other when we have an argument.

That didn't give us an excuse for what we did and said to one another though. We both realize this. After our little...quarrel, we made up as usual but this time it was a lot better than the previous times before. Merlin it was wonderful. There was so much passion, so much desire that had been keeping refuge inside of one another ever since the fighting began and it just felt marvelous to unleash it all during our make-up. It also made me realize just how deep my feelings are continuing to grow for Evan. Sure we may have one of the most strangest relationships out of anyone I've ever known but I wouldn't change it for the world. There's something about him that drives me wild and I positively love it. Through all the damage we manage to inflict on one another we can always show each other that we do care about one another and nothing can change that. I suspect that its only a matter of time now before we both truly say that the phrase we've been wanting to say.

Every slightly good thing has its troubles though and this is only proven in the case of Cillian Doyle. Ever since the day that I met the bloke while I was working down at Nervosa it seems as if I just can't get away from him. Its gotten to the point where almost everytime I think I'm alone, I'm not. He's always in the area somewhere and somehow, much to my dismay. I can already sense trouble arising with this. Evan's absolutely furious with Doyle's recent liking to me and its been murder trying to convince him that Doyle has, and will never, have anything on him. You'd think he'd trust me a bit more than that. Nonetheless, its still wonderful to see him care so much about me to feel the way he does about Cillian. That's something that some girls will never experience in a relationship.

Besides the occasional gaining of a new friend or mostly new enemies life has continued to run as planned. The work that the professors are throwing on us is really starting to become unbareable. Its almost as if the idiots have forgotten what its like to be a teenager. I hate having to spend most of my weekends locked away studying or doing homework. I only have a few more months left before I turn 18 and am legally considered an adult witch. That's both a thrilling and scary thought in itself. Its also the reason why I want to live out the rest of my teenage days to the maximum but thanks to the professors, they are causing this to become impossible.

I must be off for the time being and attempt the usual second round of sleep. This time, if I don't succeed, I'm simply going to apparate over to McBain's house, wake him up from his sleep and inform him that I'm going to be spending the rest of the *night*. He won't have any objections. He'd be an idiot if he did.

Early evening.

Merlin! Has it really been two months since I last wrote in here? There has been so much going on in my life lately that I can only assume that’s the reason for not writing in here as much as I should be. I have to catch up on so much that I really don’t even know where I should begin. Well, I suppose I can start with Valentine’s day since nothing truly exciting happened before then. Who knows? Perhaps writing about this will help me feel better about it. I mean, I’m feeling better than I have been but I’m still not to that full point of being able to almost completely forget about it. I don’t think I can really blame myself though.

Alright, well Valentine’s day started out as I had expected it. When I got to the school, Evan said his quick hellos and then quickly dashed out of sight before I could even question him about my Valentine’s day presents. Needless to say I was absolutely furious because of his lack of interest in the holiday and for not giving me my presents (which I had clearly deserved for putting up with him as long as I have). As soon as I managed to get to the Great Hall, who was the one to meet me other than Doyle? He gave me a red rose and kiss on the cheek in clear view of Evan and yet Evan did nothing! Well, he stood up, walked over to us and slowly de-pedaled the rose in front of him and simply took me off to the Slytherin table. No hit, cruel word or anything! Here I was, expecting Evan to get furious and give Cillian exactly what he deserved but he does nothing! So after catching me completely off guard with that and his sudden change in mood, I had begun to expect that he really did have a gift for me. I was sitting there and waiting at the table for it and yet there was still nothing. Needless to say, I began growing slightly impatient as I sat there. There was still no gift, he was not doing anything that would imply he had a gift and it seemed as if just didn’t care that I was sitting there, clearly furious with him. But then he dug into his pocket for something and my hopes were raised! Of course he had to have something! Evan was always a tricky little bugger, surely he was just kidding. Wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong.

Growing more frustrated and upset than I should have been, I picked myself up and left the Great Hall. He didn’t even try to stop me! This only made me grow even angrier and by the time that I was away from the doors of the Great Hall and his younger sister Cleary stopped me to apologize to me for some reason or the other, I was just at such a level or frustration and being upset that I was ready to bite her head off. Just as quickly as my angry high rose, it was overcome with a love one. I still can’t even begin to explain how it happened but one minute I was ready to rip into the next person that talked to me and then the next, I just wanted to hug them and wish them a happy Valentine’s day. Yes, I know that it was beyond odd. It only got even odder when Cillian caught up to me and I actually gave him a hug and giggled. I actually giggled at the sight of him! As I sit here and recall my reaction towards him…I feel completely sick to my stomach. Its amazing just how strong that bloody potion was.

I’m getting ahead of myself. Anyway, he asked me if I wanted to go a walk with him and I instantly agreed, but not without then going to Evan and asking if he wanted to come. Naturally he said yes so the three of us went on a walk around the Galaxia grounds and Somerset for a good hour or so. Once the hour was up Evan informed us that he needed to head back to the castle to finish some things. Though I begged him not to go, he went anyway and I was stuck with Doyle. I spent six hours…six hours for the rest of that day with him. What’d we do? We walked mostly, occasionally stopped just to talk but nothing more than that. When the clock finally struck six o’clock, we were down by the Lake and much to my terror; I had this sudden desire to kiss him. So I did. It lasted no more than five seconds before I snapped out of whatever love high I was on, realized what I had just done and gave him a good slap across his smug little face before leaving and making refuge in the SCR.

I couldn’t believe what I had just done. There were no reasons why I did what I did. It was like something had forced me to kiss him because I, and now Evan, know that I hate Doyle. I always have. There’s never even been the slightest trace of feeling for him. Even when I was in my lovesick lovey-dovey mood, I didn’t feel anything. I was so confused and I was so upset with myself for kissing him and terrified at Evan’s reaction and just such a mess that I nearly had a heart attack when Damien finally found me and told me that Evan had been looking for me all afternoon. Great way to put the icing on the cake, am I right?

I’m not even going to go into what was said and done at our meeting down by the Waterfalls but I will say that it was absolutely terrible. We both said and did things that we didn’t mean. We were so angry with one another that we didn’t talk for two weeks, mainly due to our pride and stubbornness. When Evan finally began to post me requesting to meet I ignored them as usual. I did actually read and respond back to one of them but it only left me feeling sadder and only made me miss him even more. He really knows how to play me so well. He’s really got some damn good talent I tell you.

Well when last Saturday came up, Peyton came to the Manor to drag me out of my room and try to take me to his April Fool’s Day celebration at Mirage. Naturally, I said no. I put up such a fuss while saying no that I’m surprised Peyton didn’t consider me to be a damn child throwing a tantrum. Well, I’m sure she probably did but thankfully, she didn’t let me know. Anyway, she managed to pull a fast one on me by tricking me and I wound up at Mirage. Things started out horribly as I knew they would. As soon we got there Peyt left me, no doubt to find Evan, and Cillian approached him. Since I was so damn frustrated at him for putting the love potion on both me and Evan, frustrated at him for trying to break us up again, frustrated at him for continuing to interfere when he wasn’t wanted and just mad at the world in general, I poured my drink over his head and made my way to the door to leave, but was stopped by a familiar hand. Evan convinced me to stay just so we could talk and as soon as he turned around to lead me to his office, Doyle appeared out of nowhere and punched him in the eye. The direct blow to the face caused Evan to stumble back and accidentally push me roughly into the door, leaving part of my back with a pretty painful bruise. From there, he proceeded to break Cillian’s nose and probably would have done more if I hadn’t stopped him. It was perfectly fine by me if Cillian wound up dead that night but considering how I didn’t want that bastard to steal away any more of our time I told him to hold off on it.

Explaining what all was said would make this entry even longer than it already is so I will simply say that we talked, we apologized, we snogged and it was amazing. Not to forget, we had a spectacular make-up session for the rest of the night into the rest of the next day back here. Ever since then we’ve barely spent a moment apart, literally. Just seeing how much he’s etched himself in my mind, body and soul and how badly I need him, I’ve finally succumbed to the feelings from within me and can safely say that I’m in love with Evan McBain. I’m still amazed that I can think or even write it so freely but it’s the god honest truth. I love him.

Well seeing as how this entry has turned out to be way longer than intended I believe that I’m going to go now. I’ve got to start getting ready for mine and Evan’s date tonight anyway.

Late evening.

Where can I even begin? My life has taken a downward spiral in so many aspects these past two months that I'm amazed I can continue to play this act for everyone, well mostly everyone, around me. The major problem I've been dealing with is losing Evan. Its been a month exactly since we've broken up and I'm still a complete wreck on the inside that's slowly showing its colors on the outside. I can't stand being without him. Nights here at the Manor have gotten positively dreadful. Every night that I have to be alone in the room where I've shared so many incredible memories with him is like some suffocating plague that's slowly weaving itself around me. Draining me of all happy thoughts that attempt to shine through. I miss him being by my side. I miss being in his arms, snogging him and getting lost in his unbelievable blue eyes. I miss him. As each day passes and the realization of losing the only man that I love, yes...genuinely love, continues to hit me, my pain and hurt only elevates.

Why is this what people have to go through with heartbreak? Why can't things just go back to the way they were before getting your heart broken by someone you love? Especially when that person was the first person you've ever loved? There have been so many nights that I've sat here on my bed, drinking as much pain away as I can, that I wonder what things would have been like if I had never met him. Easier, for one thing. I highly doubt I would have fallen in love until I was well out of school. Maybe that would have made things much easier. Who the hell am I kidding? Of course it would have. Though in some weird way I feel like mine and Evan's relationship was simply inevitable. It was bound to happen even if we didn't think it ever would. Perhaps our relationship happened because it was fates way of showing us that it was actually possible to fall so deeply in love with a person. The heartbreak was to show us that this could result from it.

There's no doubt on my mind that it definitely happened to show me how men can be such jerks though. This is the point where pure anger takes over for my sadness and longing. To sum up things briefly, I was tricked. At the Spring Ball last month I was going to tell Evan that he had officially claimed my heart and that I loved him. Things had been going perfect...until Cillian showed up, as usual. He interrupted our dance, got Evan nice and pissed off and ended our dancing for the night. It was then that Evan suggested we spend some time alone and walk down to our usual spot at the Waterfalls. An area that we had frequented so many nights. That was when I had decided to tell him my true feelings. After leaving me alone, I walked down to the Waterfalls by myself and waited there for him. When 'he' finally showed, I had earnestly thought that it was him. That was until he started kissing me a bit too forcefully though. Nearly minutes later I was horrified to hear Evan's actual voice sound while trying to push the other Evan away from my lips. When I was able to do so, I found that I had been snogging Cillian. The bastard had used a Polyjuice Potion to get to me. To end things for me and Evan once and for all. Needless to say, I was absolutely speechless and too numb to say or do anything. Evan flew into such a rage that I actually became frightened of him. Seeing him that angry was something that I never thought I'd see and would very much like to never see again. Then he broke things off. Seeing as how I couldn't defend myself or try and explain how we were both deceived, I did nothing but walk back to the ball, grab my things, head back home and cry hysterically on my bed, literally, for hours. Thank Merlin Darren had restocked his liquor cabinet that day.

I suffered in solitude for the next week and when I finally came about, I was ready for revenge. So, after talking with Luken, who had recently came back from the United States, I talked him into helping me. Luken would pretend to be my new boyfriend. A bit childish I'll admit but its certainly done its damage. Recently though, I've been feeling nothing but guilt for it. I've abusing mine and Luken's friendship, though I know he won't complain about the free snogging sessions or shagging. Worst of all, I feel guilty for fooling Evan again. Sure, he may know that I'm only using Luken to get back at him but that doesn't make things any better. I know I continue to hurt him. What he doesn't know is that he continues to hurt me as well. Seeing how our break-up has been affecting him has secretly been killing me. Yet its somehow manage to provoke my revenge plot even more. I'm a terrible person, I know, but somehow its just my way for dealing with my pain of losing him. Besides, after the incident at Trick where we both got into a confrontation that resulted in me punching him in the eye, my desire to hurt him, and want him, has intensified even more. This can't be good.

As to not make this entire entry sound completely sad and depressing, there is a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel. For starters, I finally turned eighteen and got that 5,000 galleon gift my parents have been holding out for me. In one month I'll be able to get that other manor that they own and I'll finally have my own place. Free of the constant moody Darren. Talk about a blessing. Cen threw me a great surprise birthday party as well. It was ruined when Evan decided to make a drunken appearance which resulted in another round of McBain vs. Morgan but other than that, it was fine. Another good bit of news is that I've finally graduated! My schooling at Hogwarts Galaxia is officially behind me and I'm ready to really step out into the Wizarding World as an Adult. Course this also means that I move up in DE ranking as well. Before I know it I'll be the top DE of my brother's, not that I'm not already. It'll just be officially. The Grad. Weekend Camping Fiesta is tomorrow as well and I'm so stoked for that. Unfortunately Evan will be there but I wager he'll be drunk most of the time anyway. Not to mention, his new grungy appearance will probably blend him well in with the trees since he slightly resembles one now, although Damien is convinced he looks like a scarecrow. I don't know, its not important. I'll just ignore him and watch him afar for the weekend. It'll be fine.
