The earning/losing of House Points are what determines the winner of the annual race for the House Cup. Upon winning, the selected House receives bragging rights for the following school year as well as mention in our Record Room.
There are several ways to earn House Points at Hogwarts Galaxia:
Winners of the House Cup will receive:
- Bragging rights
- A graphic made by Kaydence or Centara to show your house pride
- 100 galleons to your vault
If you have suggestions as to how we can create other ways for you to earn House Points OR if you have not received points you feel you are fairly earned then please PM me.
There are several ways to earn House Points at Hogwarts Galaxia:
1. Join!
All new members get ten points for their house upon being sorted.
2. Attend Class
This is the easiest way to earn points. For every post you make in a class thread, you receive five points. If you finish the class thread, you will earn 10 additional points for your house.
3. Become a Featured Member or Thread
Every member selected for a Featured title gets 100 galleons. For students, not only do they get 100 galleons but they will receive 50 points for their house.
4. Activity
With the assistance of the administration, eyes will be looking out for how often a student logs on. If you log in at least once every day and post at least two times, you will receive 20 points. If you log in every few days with only one post it will be 10. Points will be added at the end of the week.
5. Character Workshops
Hogwarts Galaxia offers its members workshops to really dig into their character and find out who they are. There are some thought-provoking questions and activities to do that might make you understand your character better than you thought you did. Or perhaps they are someone completely different then who you wanted them to be. For each completed workshop, you get 10 house point. If you finish each workshop, you get an extra 30 to bring your total up to 100 points. Click Here to be taken to the board.
6.Character Profile
Everyone wants to know more about your character and perhaps you need a space to establish a history and background so you can go back for reference if needed. If you create a character profile, your house will be awarded 15 house points.
7. Recruiting
For every member you recruit, and that can verify you were the one to have them sign up, you will receive 15 points.
8. Advertising
Any effort members are willing to put forth to help Hogwarts Galaxia get new members should not go unnoticed. For every site that you advertise on and that you can show us the thread you posted, you will receive 10 points.
