This routine was all that was really getting her through her days. She would get up, get ready for work. Then perhaps conduct a few things on the side for Kaydence, and then she would get to work. The managing of all of her coworkers and employees was more than enough to keep her busy to the point that she couldn't think about anything else. During these troubled times, people seemed to want to drink more than ever, which was something that she could certainly relate to easily. Between the invoices and the crazy customers, not to mention the fact that she was still working on a remodel of the whole upstairs tea room she was more then busy. Luckily for her, she thrived under pressure. The more stress she had, she worked all the better. Today she was attempting to stay under the radar, she didn't need any more people coming up to her asking about hours or pricing. People found out that the manager was a pretty blond and then suddenly they were all just full of questions all the time. She was dressed simply, in just a black baby doll tee and some light form fitting jeans, distressed in all of the right places. Her black heels just brought her to an appropriate height. She found that standing on regular shoes while she was at work didn't gain her very much credit. Not only was she an attractive woman attempting to keep a business running smoothly, she was a very small woman attempting to do it. If she got one more cat call, or another comment about how woman really shouldn't be working, that there were better positions for her, she was going to literally curse somebody to death. While she hadn't ever used that curse before, she was fairly certain that in her current state of mind, her Death Eater training would kick in and she could do it. Lifting a plate off of an empty table she marched over to her newest employee. “Gio. If you don't get to your job, your happy ass can stay here for the next day” Her eyes conveyed that she wasn't going to let him off work, much less apparate him back to the school if he didn't step it up. It wasn't her job to bus tables, she paid other people for that.
Granted, the whole place was so packed that there was a small line out the door. She just assumed that people would know that meant that they would have to work just that much harder, apparently that was not the case. She pressed the plate into the Ravenclaw's chest, and lifted her eyebrows, staring at him until he took the plate and scurried off to clean up the table. People needed to sit or they were going to leave. She was even contemplating opening Hell a little bit early tonight just so that she would be able to accept more business. She hated to think of them turning away and taking their coin else where whenever she needed their money too much. Of course Purgatory was doing just fine business wise, but with this constant influx of people wanting to eat or drink she was going to have to hire more staff, and that meant she needed to wiggle out some more room on the payroll. A task that would be daunting in and of itself. Heading behind the counter since the bartender was about to leave on his union mandated break she pushed her hair back and up over the crown of her head, allowing it to fall wherever it wanted to and grabbed a few small white square napkins to ready herself. Placing the two squared on the counter top she pointed an index finger at the first patron. She really should make more of an effort to be kind to them, make conversation but they surely would be able to see how busy there was. Not a single open bar stool to be had. Somebody went to the restroom, and another body readily filled the spot. ”Gin and tonic. Hold the tonic” she nodded and grabbed the gin from under the counter, managed a weak spin of the bottle once before scooping ice into the cup and filling the glass half way with gin shortly after. Pushing the cup on top of the napkin she slid it across the counter “seven sickles” and he pushed the proper amount of coin over to her as he did. Making a mental note of what he ordered she pocketed the coin and made her way down the bar, keeping everything in her head until she reached the till at the very end where the till was located and started to punch everything in and emptied the contents of her pockets into the drawer and pushed it closed.
Luckily, the bar tender came back and she backed off to let him do his job. She still had a mountain of order forms in her office to fill in and mail off. She needed to refill the kitchens and restock the store room for tonight. If she was lucky and managed to get in all of the orders before the dinner rush, she would be able to get the supplies by the following morning. Glancing at the small clock under the counter top of the bar on her way back into the throng of people she sighed. Her employees for hell should be here soon. She scanned the crowd for the towering sight of Warren, her bouncer. Without his pretty face to keep the creeps out, she couldn't very well open. She was too small and unimposing to do that particular job herself. Pushing her way outside through the people she pushed the door open and stepped out into the crisp fall air. She should have grabbed her jacket on the way out. She moved past the line of people waiting to get in, glad that it was still mid afternoon and there were a mass of people. The whole alley of Alzubra seemed to be teeming with people right about now. She let her back fall against the wall of her building and ran her fingers through her hair once more allowing herself to breath. She didn't see Warren in the crowd but she did see another familiar face that she hadn't seen since school. Which, wasn't surprising in the least given her lack of involvement in the world until recently. She brought up a tired arm and waved, only he still seemed to be attempting to not draw attention to himself. She couldn't force him to come and talk to her, but she would love the distraction.
