Thoughts on Family: "As far as my family goes...we're not exactly close. We're all our very own person...and becase of this none of our personalities exactly mix well. My mother and father dont' sleep in the same bed, but that was really to be expected. They both love their children, but seperatly. They didn't exactly want to get married in the first place. Yet, three boys later...here we are. Our family as a whole has pleanty of skeletons in our closet, and thats where they are going to stay. I guess i feel that they are all dysfunctional...but it kind of works for us"

-Best friends since fourth year, and two out of the seven remaining Hufflepuff seventh years. Since the last year of schooling isn't mandatory, and with the current deterioration of the wizarding world, not many of the kids returned to school. Only three of the boys and four girls. Whereas there used to be six of each. That was only seventh year students, even less of the younger children returned.
Physical Description: Harland knows how to dress, it was the most femine thing that his mother ever taught him. He wears jeans almost all the time, yet managed to pair them with things to look fancy. He liked muggle clothing, and hates to wear cloaks, or robes or anything else that resembles a dress. Since he doesn't like to waste his money, most of his clothing comes from a place most muggles refer to as a 'thrift store' but the cloths are already worn in and confortable, generally from other periods in history that fascinate him.
Important History?
+Both parents attended Galaxia, his father came from a long line of Durmstrang graduates and he was the first one who didn't go there. So, the relatives insisted that all of their son's go to Durmstrang, and all of them did. Harland was forced to transfer over to Galaxia due to over crowding at Durmstrang and the other schools
+Parents thought that he was going to be a girl, and that gave him a bit of a complex, his mother already had enough boys and wanted a daughter worst way in the world. Hence why she put him in every dance lesson that she could from the moment he could walk.
+Since his mother turned out to be a Squib, she placed all of her anger about the issue out on her children, Harland most of all so that she could make him do whatever she wanted to.
+wants to be a reporter whenever he graduates, plans on signing up for his internship as soon as possible.
+It was a mistake whenever Josephine Winter and Franklin got married. They were from different backgrounds, and Josephine's parents used her good looks to force her to marry above her. She had been raised in a modest life. Her grandparents were muggles so they weren't wealthy in the wizarding world. They wanted more, and were avid social climbers. They didn't want their daughter to go through life having nothing...it didn't matter to them that Josephine was in love with another man, or that she didn't mind living the way she was...she was happy with the simple life. None the less, she was forced into a marriage with Franklin Burrows..the last name alone was something that she had always feared. The family wasn't a pleasant one, pure blooded and traced back as far as any. Franklin took a liking to Josephine's shy nature and timid ways, liked her obedience, and even though she had muggle lineage...agreed to marry her. The two didn't have a marriage filled with love like their parents had hoped. They didn't sleep in the same room, and hardly ever spoke, much less had dinner together. Yet, over the years they grew to accept each others company and even tolerated one another. Josephine was still in love with the other man, but didn't dare speak to him. He was a muggle, strong tan, tall...everything she wanted and everything that Franklin was not.
It was a fluke she even got pregnant with Franklin's son, their first son, Jason was a product of parental intervention and their begging for a grandchild...the Burrows name must live on they said, so, they had a child. He was a attractive baby, didn't look much like either parent, but he had his mothers hair and his fathers eyes. Best of both worlds. With a child in their lives, they knew that they had to at least keep up appearances, so they moved into the same room, but separate beds. They told nobody of their agreement, and while they didn't love each other...their growing friendship and their love of their child kept them together. As the child grew older, Franklin raised him in a strict knowledge of magic, and his mother made sure he wasn't a muggle hater, after all the Burrow blood was now tainted...he wasn't going to be a stuck up pureblood. No matter how much anybody begged or pleaded. Yet the child, Jason was lonely, so they coupled once more and a few years later...Logan was born. He looked far more like his father than his mother but was an attractive and happy child. From the outside, they were the perfect family, lived in a simple muggle neighborhood and were perfect neighbors. In the wizarding community, the children were looked down upon by the pure bloods, yet accepted by the rest. From their children, Josephine and Franklin spent far more time together, and grew to like each others company more and more, and then Harland was born, the only willing conception yet. Three boys, all strong children. They had expected to be having a daughter finally so that their family could be complete, and apparently even with all of the magical advances in medicine, they still predicted the gender wrong. Poor Harland was brought home in a dress, and forced to wear pink clothing for the first year of his life. It gave him a bit of a complex but as soon as he was able to fit into his brothers size clothing he was able to dress like a boy. They grew up close, fighting like children do, and being all boys it was only natural. Franklin was climbing the ladder in Ministry work, getting promotion after another. So, he was home less and less, they boys were getting older and as hard as it was to raise three children alone, Josephine managed. She was falling in love with her husband at last, anything was possible.
Yet, soon Jason went into Hogwarts, sorted into Gryffindor doing quiet well for himself, then Logan went away after his brother, sorted into Ravenclaw, Harland...into Hufflepuff (which much displeased the grandparents) throughout their school years, the three brothers started to grow apart, being in different houses meant they competed against each other in Quidditch, had different classes...and generally didn't speak to each other. Jason and Harland, soon stopped speaking to each other all together and Logan, was in his own little world. He was prefect, and head boy...not that his brothers much cared. Joel fell into a crowd by himself, and Jason became and Auror. Logan, followed in his fathers footsteps and took a job at the ministry as well. In Logan's last year or school, between Franklin working all the time and the boys out living their own lives, their mother Josephine was all alone...and met up with her old love. She told him she was happily married and had three children, yet one thing led to another and little Wendy was born. Whenever Franklin found out, he left Josephine...didn't want a bastard child and the two split up, but didn't divorce. At the end of her pregnancy, Josephine came back to Franklin and begged him to take her back, she missed her children and his company...so little Wendy became a Burrows.
++More to come. Work in progress [/center][/blockquote]
