Character Name: Regulus Reinbach
Year At Hogwarts: 6th
Least Favorite House: Hufflepuff
What would a typical day in your character's life be like?
After some light tormenting of mouthy 3rd years between classes Regulus is likely to be found out at the pitch showing off on his broom, or perhaps in the library or tucked into a corner in the dungeon to read, brood and perhaps do a spot of homework. Then it's back to the commonroom to sit by the fire and flirt with the fairer sex until it is time to go to bed.
In class, Regulus alternates between teacher's pet (potions), asleep in the back of the room (history of magic), and outspokenly intelligent. (most other classes)
Describe your character's personality:
Regulus is driven by a need to excel in every aspect of his life. He is arrogant, and intelligent, and while his family name ensures that he is well known he isn't exactly popular. This lack of close friends comes from a combination of his unwillingness to trust others, and a willingness to push himself forward at the expense of others. It also probably doesn't help that Regulus views much of the rest of the world as incompetent and treats them as such.
He loves the game of quidditch, and really all forms of competition, as the provide concrete proof of his superiority. Coming from money, he doesn't understand the value of money and struggles with the concept that not everyone is rich. Lacking a natural propensity towards affection Regulus is known to give gifts to compensate for the emotion he lacks.
Though he does struggle with genuine affection, charm is something Regulus seems to have in spades. He craves stable relationships, but seems doomed to shorter ones due to commitment issues and a wandering eye.
A sample of your RPing:
BRAIN FREEZE! Maverick dropped his hold on his straw and gripped his temples hoping added heat and pressure from his palm would spell the blizzard raging in his skull. At twenty-three years old he really should know better, just as he should know better than to go through a day without eating. It sounded riddiculous, how does one forget to eat? But in practice it was really quite simple, you just continue to get distracted by things that aren't food, telling yourself you'll grab a bite as soon as you finish, but end up half way through the next before a low growl from your abdomen reminds you, and by that time you may as well finish the current activity and the cycle repeats until the sunsets and you find yourself in an ice cream parlor ordering a banana split milkshake to compensate for all the missed calories.
Honestly, a milkshake wasn't Maverick's first choice of drink, but considering he was still letting the fallout from his last brawl blow over at the local pub...and drinking on an empty stomach was ill advised he had passed up his usual glass of whiskey for a much sweeter alternative. Mav had decided to stay in shop, settling at a table by the front window, he could feel the cold weather outside coming off the glass. Fall was always his favorit time to enjoy frozen treats. It was finally cold enough that the summer crowds retreated back into their homes making the lines short and the shops empty. Tonight was no different, though empty was an over statement. There were guests scattered about, the usual couple in a corner booth that seemed to pop up everywhere there was a corner booth, a line about 3 deep and a few other patrons scattered about the shop. Still, that was empty compared to the mad house of summer's dog days with lines out the door, ice cream melting from sheer body heat before it even reaches the sunlight.
The pain behind his eyes finally subsiding Maverick's left hand returned to it's place at the base of his cup, the right tipping the straw forward to take another sip, this time being cautious about his intake. Maverick watched the lower half of a female figure strut past the large window before the chime of the bell above the door announced her arrival in the shop. Trying to stay casual Maverick focused his eyes to the lid of his cup before glancing towards the line leading up to the counter.
