Her hair normally falls in loose curls around her shoulders. Hardly ever does she cut it any shorter than right at her chest. In general, Katharine always looks presentable.
Personality and Traits
Hobbies and Personality;
Katharine is a girl that loves to have a good time. She has a strong personality, is a hard person to win an argument against, and she rarely ever lets go of a grudge until she gets some form of revenge. Shopping and Partying are big things she enjoys doing but from her family history, she also enjoys tormenting muggles.
Though she doesn’t have a split personality, Kat does have a psychotic gene that does not allow her to see the line between right and wrong. She has no sense of remorse for things she does to other people and cannot seem to understand why people think torturing and killing muggles is a sin. Most of the time she is able to keep herself under control to avoid suspicion and keep from being caught by the Ministry when she does commit such acts, however there are times when her personality gets in the way and pushes her over the deep end. Sometimes, she just doesn’t know where to stop. Part of her problem comes when she drinks. Though she just becomes a more open and laid back version of herself when she’s tipsy, crossing the line into being drunk removes all limitations she may have. There is literally nothing from stopping her from becoming a serial murderer.

History;
Katharine was born in Kemerovo, Russia, a city in the south side of Russia to a pair of lovers representing a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Luke Makari was the bad boy in his year at Durmstrang in Russia. Two years before him was Paris Hunter, a shy female who was distant from the rest of the world. Though it was an unlikely match, Paris had grown to enjoy hearing about the type of trouble Luke would get himself into. She was into the bad boy types and Luke’s looks weren’t a problem either. One day, the two met and hit it off. Though it wasn’t a relationship at first, it grew to be just that. Paris began helping Luke with some of his pranks and after years of them being together, their relationship spread into a marriage and partnership.
The next twenty years became a joy ride for the newlyweds. Luke’s family was subject to a number of mental disorders and, though it wasn’t an excuse for his inability to keep from causing trouble, it was the reason his troublemaking tendencies developed into extreme levels of torturing. It all began with simple pranks; water hovering over a door to fall on someone when they walked in, whoopee cushion spells on co-workers chairs, even hanging unsuspecting victims from high places. Eventually pranks sprouted into theft of small possessions at first. Then Luke’s thirst for violence grew stronger, and if Luke wasn’t pleased, Paris did what she had to in order to please him.
The couple had begun to find muggles who were defenseless. Usually they only hit he realm of breaking, entering, and pilfering. There were moments when Luke would cross the line, however. His family’s mental disorder had been passed down to him. The fine line between right and wrong was nonexistent and there were moments where he didn’t know when to stop. Luckily, that was where Paris stepped in. She could keep him from doing something that would get the two caught or throw them in Azkaban. Paris was the only reason they weren’t caught for so long. She had become good at covering up her husband’s messes and ensuring they left very little for the authorities to trace.
Unexpectedly, Katharine entered into the picture mid-1987. With the new baby, Luke and Paris had slowed down their trips into the muggle world, only making the trip for a special occasion. When Kat was seven, Luke decided it was time to let their daughter in on their family’s dirty little secret. At first, Katharine merely watched as her parents robbed homes and sometimes even tortured people in front of her. In the torture situations, most muggles begged the question how they could let their daughter see such things. They usually didn’t get a reply. It wasn’t until Kat was eight that she inflicted her first bought of pain. Instead of a human, it had been the family cat. It had been a stray they had taken in. One night, Kat’s parents had left her at home as they went out on the town for some drinks. The cat had lain down next to her and for a moment, the child had wondered what it would be like to do what her parents did to people. For a split second, her mind had slipped into darkness. A moment later when Kat’s mind came back to reality, the cat was lying at the foot of the bed. The pencil she had just been doing her homework with was jetting out of its neck and blood littered her paper, bed, and arms. The incident had earned her the nickname “Kitty”. That had been her first kill and wouldn’t be her last.
After her parents discovered her act, Paris began to worry about what her daughter was becoming. Luke on the other hand brought his daughter further into the picture. Katharine never said no or excused herself from the action because the mental disorder originating from her father’s side had passed down to her. There was no part of her that told her whether what she was doing was wrong or right, all she knew was stealing was a thrill and when she saw the pain and fear on the muggles faces, which was even better. It made her feel good. Better than good. Seeing their faces as they were being tortured was the best feeling she could ever experience. Nothing was able to match it and over the years as she grew up, Katharine began to crave that feeling.
Time passed and the family kept up their charade of being normal. Katharine went to school, made friends, went to dances, had boyfriends (although usually more like boy toys), and did everything a normal teenager would do during the day. A few times a month the family would go out in search of a new victim and she would get her ultimate thrill, fulfilling her craving for some time so she could go back to living a normal life. It wasn’t until two years before graduating when her parents left the house without her that things in their lives changed. Luke was dying to leave the house and the family was running low on monetary fund’s considering her parent’s low-end jobs did not support the two of them let alone their wants-driven daughter as well. Katharine stayed behind at home due to an exam she had to study for the next day. While they were nearing the end of their haul, the family they had been robbing had come home. Paris didn’t have time to react and before she knew it, bodies littered the floor and her husband had a wand at his neck; both of their wands had been thrown across the room. It had been a combination of Luke losing control and the robbing of a wizarding family that resulted in her parents being thrown into Azkaban for life.
Katharine, being the smart and witty person she had grown up to be, was able to talk herself out of the scenario when the Ministry showed up the next day asking if she knew anything about what her parents did for a living. Part of her was upset at her parents for leaving her behind to pick up the pieces, but not once had she hated them and she never would. Instead, her anger was redirected to the Ministry. They were the ones who had taken her family from her. Her family had been the ones to show how to live life. She owed it to them to keep living life the way they had taught her, and to get vengeance for them against the Ministry. From that moment, she decided to finish school without making a scene and bide her time.
Though she hungered for violence, Katharine had something her father didn’t that helped her survive for the next two years. As long as she was sober, Kat knew her limitations and she could control her urges. Her mental disorder kept her from realizing what she wanted to do to people was wrong, but she was able to see that other people thought it was and if she crossed the line, they would do to her what the Ministry did to her parents. She couldn’t let that happen. So for two years, she waited for her time in Russia to end. During that time, she had spent her spare time deciding how she was going to get back at the Ministry for ruining part of her life. She began to work on her accent, removing it from her every day life to appear more American. An American accent fit in far better than Russian. Then she began to work on what she would do to get back at the Ministry. There was the obvious choice of waltzing into the office and cursing anyone in sight, but there were also obvious repercussions of that action. Even with her mental disorder, Kat knew better than to be that direct. What she needed, was a way of getting to the Ministry without them knowing who she was or that she was even there.
While going through school, Dark Arts had been Katharine’s favorite subject, just like all other students in Durmstrang. It went through the history behind the subject, the spells related to it, and even the creatures that spawned from it. Since beginning the course, her focus had been how to use what she learned in real life and she had done just that before her parents were sent to Azkaban. Now that she was keeping herself under wraps, her focus became more on honing in her skills for when she would use them later. But one day, while in class, her professor had brought up some news (good in both his and her opinion but he couldn’t announce that if he wanted to keep his job). Things were starting to happen in the realm of the Dark Arts. It wasn’t much, but a DeathEater had been spotted in Austria. It was the latest news they had heard for over a year according to her Professor but Kat had stopped listening at the mention of DeathEater. If she were to become a DeathEater, she could use that as her way to fight the Ministry. At least now she had one option.
When graduation rolled around, the items in her parents’ home were already packed and ready to move. Knowing full well that Austria was the epicenter for the most recent Dark Lord, she had chosen an apartment and moved her belongings to this new location. The next stage of her life was going to begin in Austria and even though it would take time, she was going to do what it took to get her revenge on the Ministry. If it meant becoming a DeathEater, she would do so.
Her first year in Austria had been extremely uneventful. Her time was spent getting to know the land, both magical and muggle, and trying to find any hint that the Dark Lord was actually located in Austria. She didn’t even know if the information her professor in England had provided was accurate. Her second year was certainly more eventful, but not what she had been expecting. One day, she had een travelling in Drear Alley, the dungier and darker version of Alzubra, when she had stumbled upon what she thought was just a plain bar. It wasn’t she had walked into a room within the bar that she realized she had just been plunged into something she didn’t know existed. Her Dark Arts textbooks had detailed about vampires and werewolves but not in her wildest dreams had Kat realized they were real. Yet here she was, witnessing as a vampire had his fangs latched onto the neck of a willing female, drinking her dry on a couch in the middle of the bar. She began to realize that he was not the only vampire. Practically everyone had fangs or claws. She had become mesmerized by the species.
She had spent plenty of time in the bar, she later found out was called Der Keller, trying to understand what made them tick. Though she didn’t understand why, she wanted to become part of their community. Not necessarily as a vampire herself, but she wanted to know what it was like to be part of their family. With her interest in all things supernatural grabbing her time, her hunt for DeathEaters and the Dark Lord had subsided, at least until the masquerade ball. After hearing about the disaster the Dark Lord caused at the Minister’s masquerade ball, Kat found herself torn between the want to understand more about vampires and the want to join the Dark Lord in taking down the Ministry. Now, even after three years and another Dark Lord attack, her attention span is still split between the two.
