Character Name: Amina Krane
Year At Hogwarts: 6th
Least Favorite House: Slytherin
What would a typical day in your character's life be like? It would begin around noon if she had a choice but unfortunately her alarm clock does not allow her to wake up past seven. If she doesn't have class in the morning, she usually takes a run around the lake, possibly farther depending on how nice the weather is. Breakfast isn't her favorite meal of the day so she usually skips it and goes straight for lunch. The rest of her day depends on who else is around. If she has friends around her, she will usually do whatever they prefer. If she had a choice, her focus would be in her paintings or her nose stuffed in a good book.
Describe your character's personality: Amina has a strong personality and loves to make herself known, however she also has a soft side. She does not let people push her over and if she has a goal, she will reach it no matter if that means putting herself in harms way. Running is a hobby of hers, but she never runs away from anything. She has both brain and brawn but despite her strong personality she does not mind having a man at her side to bring out her softer side.

Glancing around, Elle began to realize the shops she was looking down on moments before were starting to thin out. The storefronts were getting longer, but much less products were displayed. Some of them were closed down and she imagined that had something to do with the tragedies happening around Austria. No doubt the DeathEaters had caused plenty of heartache for business owners in the harder times. Some businesses just couldnt take it. Glancing over at Warren to make sure she hadnt kept going without him, she saw him standing there sizing up the map to her. She giggled, something she never really did. He had a side to him which most men did not have in Paris. Most men were there to be serious or just pick up women. The first one, there was no humor, or at least no artistic humor. It was all intellectual which was not her favorite type of humor. Or you got the guy who just wanted to pick up a woman for the night so he tried to be as charming as possible and make everything into a joke. Those men she walked away from and left the bill in their hands. But Warren was different. He wasnt there trying to make her like him, nor was he a stick in the mud. His humor didnt seem like it was forced and it was actually something she could laugh along with.
In response to his comments regarding Ireland and Italy, she just merely shrugged. She knew not everyone was a drunk, but she couldnt help but feel everyone there drank, even if it was just a beer a night or glass of wine a night like in Italy. Elle had no doubt she could live in the society, but she always felt she would never quite feel comfortable with her distaste of alcohol. From what little she knew about Austria, it did have its share of bars but she didnt hear that everyone in the area loved to go drinking. Then again, how would one really hear that with the exception of stereotypes? So far I can't contradict that statement. Nodding to his statement, Elle let out a soft sigh. Well, I guess thats good news for now. If youve been here for some time, maybe that means I did make a good choice in locations, she commented, glancing around once again. The crowds had thinned out but people were still standing around and luckily, not many of them were paying attention to the two walking down the alley. That had to be a good sign that people werent so judgmental, right?
Her eyes moved from the crowds back to Warren as he spoke again and for a moment she regretted asking about his family. His gaze seemed to change and part of her wondered if it was due to him having a rough past like her. If that was the case, they were nearly two peas in a pod. With the exception of gender that was. Yes and no. His answer was not quite what she was expecting, but then again they had just met. There was no way she would spill her family history to a complete stranger. She barely even admitted it to the people she knew for months on end so how could she expect him to reveal it all to her as they walked to an unknown destination? All they really knew about each other was their names, they were both musicians, and they both were looking for a place to need. Well Im happy you have reasons to stick around. Maybe after today we can get to know each other a little better since it seems well both be sticking around for a while. I could always use a friend in the area, she responded, smiling as they turned down another alley. It seemed as if this place was not going to end, like it was just a maze for a mouse where you had to find the cheese hidden in the middle; the roads kept winding but the cheese always seemed to be just out of reach.
I'm being so rude, I didn't even ask if you had any family.
His question made Elle regret even further asking about his family. She had to have expected he would come back with the same question and here she was, being asked about the thing she was not going to tell him. Unfortunately that meant whatever friendship they may eventually have was going to start with her telling half-truths. I have a sister back in the states. Havent seen her in a while but I get a letter every so often just to let me know how life is going back there, she said with a smile. I just couldnt take living there any longer so I went awol. She decided to stick behind and get a job at a law firm. Crazy girl. I don't mean to prattle on and on about myself. Oh, youre fine. I like getting to know people. Its much more fun than talking about my own life, she said, returning his smile. Michelle added as she glanced around. I think were here? she asked, looking down a street to her right. There was a large sign stating Brixton Courts, Apartments For Rent. Turning down the street, she followed Warren as they approached what looked like the main office to the place. The office hours were plainly posted on the window and inside a light was on, but it didnt look like anyone was home. Looking over at Warren, she shrugged and opened the door with her free hand.
Oh thank god for warmth, she muttered as she slipped into the building. It had to be at least forty degrees warmer than outside in the room and her legs were thankful they had finally arrived. Setting down her guitar case, Elle pulled the strap of her bag over her head and set that down next to it before crossing her arms across her chest to help herself warm up a little quicker. Anyone home?
