The sunlight filtered through the textile curtaining, glancing off of the bronzed skin of the two bodies that were enclosed within the confines of the bed curtains, spiraling off of the differing tones and fighting its way through her closed lids. Try as she might she could no longer ignore the light that was invading her space though, and despite all of her best efforts she could feel the waking world pulling her brain out of its drug-like stupor as the fantastical colors of the dream world began to fade. A muted groan escaped her closed lips as she felt her muscles straightening out upon the white sheets, her body twisting against the stiffness lingering from the night before within her ligaments. Dimly her mind connected that something heavier than a sheet was sprawled across her midsection, the wiry hairs rubbing against the smooth skin of her abdomen, with it bringing a not unpleasant flood of memories from the night before. She threw an arm over her eyes in a half assed attempt to block out the brightness once more as her lips curled up at the pictures running through her brain. She hadn’t originally intended to invite Gavin to the dorms that night- for one it was too risky a place for them to meet safely at this time of year, and for another she hadn’t figured on needing his particular services. A really good book always had a way of changing things though. She’d let him know at dinner though and from there it hadn’t been too difficult. It was mid-week which ensured that most girls would have taken to their beds by the time she had snuck him in, and it wasn’t as if any would have remarked upon it in too much excess. There were nights he had crashed here without any sexual favors being exchanged; they were best friends after all. But she wasn’t about to make the mistake of assuming that all the girls in her dorm would buy the excuse. She shifted her legs with a slight grimace as the soreness began to make itself known, cramping down upon her muscles with a swiftness that was disappointing. It was expected though, so she wasn’t making too big a deal out of it. She let her arm drop suddenly as the fog on her brain began to lift a bit more, her head turning to the side to stare incredulously at the stubble resting a few centimeters from her face. He was still here. Of course. Sunlight had just begun to shine over the treetops when they had finally fallen asleep, and she supposed it was irrational of her to expect him to get up, dressed, and out when she herself had fallen asleep the minute he had rolled off of her and to the side… but still, it was somewhat more surprising than it might have been otherwise. It wasn’t like anyone was likely to pull back her curtains anyways… except maybe Avery, and Avery had classes today... and all Kat had was to turn in that one paper for her Dark Arts class...
Fuck.
With a more agonized groan she let both her hands run down her chest, her fingers wrapping lightly around the forearm on her stomach and pushing it off of her with relative ease, her torso coming off of the bed as soon as the goal was accomplished. She had to make sure and have that paper into her professor's box... At two? She thought it was two anyways. She reached over to the side of her bed, pulling the fabric on the right side of her bed back just so slightly to look at the clock sitting on her bed stand, her brow furrowing as she tried to wrap her mind around the numbers before letting the fabric fall back once more, her lips turned down in a frown. She had a good forty minutes to get up, dressed, and get her paper down to her professor's office. And from the sound of things there were at least two other girls in the dorm room, not on her end, but still an obstacle to getting Gavin out of here unseen. One she didn’t have time to work around. Not without dealing with the possibility of facing another detention... which if it had been with her potions professor... but no. She bit back a sigh as she rose to her knees, wincing as the blood rushing to her thighs brought with it its own reminder of the night before. “Hey.” Her voice was loud enough to carry, though hopefully not far enough to the giggling on the other end of the room. “Hey.” Her brows furrowed as she nudged his shoulder with her knee, crawling up the bed to where her black robe was slung over the headboard. Now was not the time for him to be dead to the world. She had to go. And so did he for that matter. She slid the fabric over her arms and shoulders, not bothering with belting it before she leant back down, her hand going out to close over his shoulder, shaking none too gently- Gavin wasn’t known for his quick responses when asleep… or responding at all sometimes. “Asshole.” The explicative held little venom though as she slid to the edge of the bed where he wasn’t located, slipping between the curtains as easily as she closed them behind her, belting the robe loosely as she padded her way to the end of her bed, throwing the chest at the end open and rifling through it for a few moments, pulling a few random objects out and stuffing them into her free arm, not bothering to reply to the hello called out to her from the other end of the room, making her way back to the side of her bed, and out of view once more before pulling the curtain back again, only enough to see his tangled legs and feet before depositing her choices on the mattress, sliding her robe off of her the minute she got the chance.
The rush of air brought the gooseflesh to her skin without the added heat of Gavin next to her and she had to fight down the urge to pull the robe back up and on, instead grabbing the jeans that she had pulled out of her trunk and jumping into them quickly, sliding them up over her hips and buttoning them with one hand as she grabbed at the white t-shirt. If she was remembering correctly she didn’t have class today at all due to some scheduling something or another, which meant she didn’t have to bother with robes or anything. There was no way she was going to be able to sit through class in one of those chairs today anyways. She unzipped the black makeup bag that was resting atop the gray zip- hoodie, grabbing the comb on top and running it quickly through her hair, wincing at the amount of tangles it encountered, her lips pulling into a determined line. If she didn’t like the way he handled her hair so much she would be tempted to make it an off limits area… She was tempted to wake him up and have him comb it out as well, but that would take more time than she had once again. She didn’t bother with any of the products that were littering the rest of the bag as she replaced her brush, zipping it closed and throwing it one handed back into the open trunk. Her lipgloss was on her dressing table anyways, and it was the colored kind. It was all the makeup she needed today. She pulled the starred hoodie on quickly, zipping it halfway and pushing the sleeves up on her forearm before bending to grab the discarded robe. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. She felt the knives twisting into her ribs individually… all three thousand of them. The grip he had placed on her torso last night as he had lain below her had felt heavenly, the after effects were not so. She was fairly sure there was even going to be bruising marring the skin by nightfall, but she couldn’t do much about it. And she had no room to complain with the marks that littered his back and torso. Which she got a nice view of as she leant back into the bed, throwing her robe back in its place and smiling down at the artwork she had left. She pushed herself up on the bed and grabbed the lipgloss from her end table, uncapping it and bringing it to her lips… only to pause. A smile snaked across her lips as she turned her body once more, crawling over to where Gavin was laying and throwing one leg over his waist, straddling his hips as she leant down, looking at his closed eyes speculatively before bringing the lipgloss wand down upon his torso, her fingers pressing into the flesh beneath as she wrote the words out.
‘Had to turn in a paper, see yourself out… discreetly. Courtyard when you wake up. Will have coffee. xoxoxo.’
She looked down upon the words, already drying out upon his chest in the crimson color of the gloss before re-dipping the wand and passing it over her lips deftly. Maybe it was a bit childish, but she did enjoy Gavin in red.
It was twenty minutes later and an odd lecture later that she was walking through the courtyard, two Styrofoam cups clutched within her hands. She wasn’t late at least, the elves had been only too accommodating within the kitchens on her way up here from turning the paper in. She had been perfectly on time to turning the paper in, and had even had enough time- as she judged it- to spare before Gavin would actually deign to get up out of bed and find his way down to the courtyard. Hopefully he'd managed to avoid the harpies that she shared it with... especially Avery. If Avery found out that she and Gavin were doing anything remotely sexual she would never hear the end of it. Which was ridiculous. She shook her head and continued walking until she reached the center of the courtyard, her eyes spying the open stone bench with no small amount of satisfaction and making her way over to it, balancing the cups dutifully as she sat down, her eyes scanning the landscape for Sleeping Beauty. Hopefully he was already up and on his way down, if not his coffee would be cold... served him right.
