Description ::Naturally, Grace’s hair was a very light shade of brown, almost close to red, but through the years she alternated through hair colors; currently she has past shoulder-length, dark brown hair that accents her facial features. Her blue eyes get to most people, just because you can stare at them for hours. They’ve often been compared to pools of water, like a soft, calm lake. One also notices her delicate, fairy-like profile, with a small, narrow nose and drawn-like lips. This earned her the nickname ‘little fairy’ when she was in the orphanage. Grace is also a very petite and delicate-looking girl, standing at five foot two and weighing 105 pounds.» T A L K T O M E

Personality ::Grace has never been a very open person. In fact, she tends to steer clear of revealing her emotions or even mentioning them. She stays relatively quiet when she meets new people, mainly because she’s trying to figure out who they are and if they can be trusted. It will take her months and sometimes years before she can trust someone. Though she is not always a very shy person, people assume she is. Unfortunately, some see her quiet behavior as snobby, but she doesn’t really care. She’s perfectly capable of getting on by herself.
But when Grace does speak, her words are very profound and usually very meaningful. Most think she’s just trying to be a smartass, but she’s not. Grace is serious about everything she says, because she believes one should not waste words like that. She is very observant to the emotions and moods of those around her, and does her best to help them in the most sensitive way she can. Though she tries to help others, she tries not to let their emotions affect her. In this way, she comes off as very cold, very cross, thought that is far from the truth. Because of all the people that left her hanging, she has learned to never let anyone in too close.
Grace is the most genuinely goodhearted and honestly the kindest person you’d ever meet. Though it is not easy to gain her trust, once you have it, you will never lose it. Grace sees this dedication and devotion as a major weakness of hers, because she will do anything and everything for a person she cares about. If a friend needs her for emotional support or just to talk to, she’ll be there without hesitation. She’s the perfect “shoulder to cry on” and is just the thing to tell your secrets to, because she will never betray you. Grace is an inescapable force when it comes to friendship.
Though she does her best not to appear so, Grace is a lost girl at heart. She doesn’t always know how to approach someone or react to something thrown at her. Ever since she was adopted, she felt as if there was a hole in her heart, where her real family should have been. She’s never admitted this to anyone, and she denies her emotions if someone notices her in an upset state.
For Grace, growing up meant learning to protect yourself. She is cautious with love and relationships and not only avoids fights and her temper, but runs away from it. This is probably one of the unhealthier traits she has developed, but after attempting to face up to problem after problem, she'd rather leave a disastrous situation then make it work.» T H E L O N E L Y O N E S
Family ::Amelia Cohen [Mother]; 38; ??.

Mrs. Ophelia [Caretaker of Orphanage]; 68; ??.
Elienne Patterson [Former Foster Mother]; 55; Photographer.
Lawrence Patterson [Former Foster Father]; 58; Ancient Runes Professor.
History ::+ Like most of the kids at The Ophelia Orphanage in Salem, Massachusetts, Grace was dropped off on the steps just months after she had been born. Mrs. Ophelia, lovingly called Mama O by the children in her house, took the crying infant in without a second thought.
+ She was placed in the room right besides Ashton Wentworth and Warren Wilkes – the boys who would become her family
+ She was quiet growing up and very sweet to everyone. Grace had plenty of acquaintances but no close friends; most of the children were like this. No one wanted to get too close in fear of someone being adopted and leaving.
+ At the playground, one day, Grace saw her neighbor boys playing and decided to join them. Quickly, the three kids became the Three Musketeers, the partners in crime. They stayed a trio for a long time, before Warren and Grace clearly started developing puppy-love feelings for one another.
+ When she was seven, the three truly became inseparable. Ashton was never quite happy with the arrangement, but Grace felt that underneath his bitterness, he knew that they were a family.
+ Grace and Warren’s love blossomed and grew. They got 'married' on the playground, confessed their undying love for one another under the slide on the rusting playground set in the back yard. As a wedding gift, exchanged bracelets that had been woven out of rainbow colored thread in art class. Ash was their maid of honor and best man. The three of them made a pact after the mini wedding: they weren't ever going to leave one another. It was their version of vows, only they were including their 'best friend' into the mix.
+ Each time someone came around to adopt one of the three, they did the best they possibly could to turn the couples off.
+ At age 11, Grace and Ashton got their letters to Hogwarts Galaxia, while Warren was accepted to Hogwarts in London. Distance would hinder them, but not kill their love. Or so they hoped.
+ Grace was sorted into Ravenclaw while Ashton was sorted into Slytherin. She made friends quickly and did well in classes. Often, she would see Ash and worry about him, but he would scoff her off.
+ In her third year, Grace was dragged to a party in Alzubra Alley by one of her floormates and met Patrick. Patrick was charming, at first, but Grace was very naïve and thought only the best of others. Patrick got Grace a “virgin” drink, and minutes later, she began to feel dizzy. Had her friends not been there, Patrick would have taken Grace back to his apartment and had his way with her. They left the party, but Patrick was not done with Grace. He might have not succeeded with her at first, but he planned to.
+ Whenever Patrick showed up, Ash would be there to protect her. He may have avoided her and acted like he didn’t care, but the second she was in danger, he was there to protect her.
+ The three were reunited every summer. Grace and Warren would make up for the time they lost during the year. They made the most of the three months they ever had together.
+ In the summer before her fourth year, Grace was officially adopted. From that day on, everything changed. They had waited for months for her to come back to the home, expecting her to stick to the pact that they had made in infancy just like they had done for her. Yet, she never came back. She wrote explaining that 'This family was different' and that 'she was really a part of them, it just felt right.’ It was one of the most terrible and necessary things she ever had to do.
+ When the school year started, Ash wouldn’t even look at her again. Grace’s heart never fully healed. To this day, a large part of her loves Warren and never stopped loving him.
+ Patrick continued to stalk and torment Grace, but someone was always able to hinder him or make him leave.
+ Grace continued to make many friends and interesting discoveries about her life at HG. Tristan Stavros and her became very good friends, and eventually revealed each other’s romantic feelings for one another. Jackson Caulfield, who was great friends with Grace but was also determined to get in bed with her, turned out to be her brother.
+ Grace was never pursued a relationship with Tristan. She never mended things with Warren and Ashton. She never even had a chance to talk with Jackson about their family. After the Ministry Ball attack, Grace decided to flee. She couldn’t be in Austria anymore. At least, not with what was going on with everyone she knew and the environment she lived in. She didn’t feel safe or certain of anything or anyone. So, she fled.
+ She didn’t have a plan where to go, or what to do once she got there, but she left anyway. She told no one and made no attempt to contact anyone. She traveled across Europe with the little money she made from the Vamp Lounge, and picked up odd jobs in different countries. Grace was a waitress, a bartender, a shop keeper, an art model, a performer at cafes, a housekeeper; no matter where she went, she always wrote articles for the local papers or sent them into British and Austrian magazines/newspapers. In her experiences, she learned to speak French and Italian, refined her writing and photography skill, and learned the beauty of living alone.
+ After three years, she felt ready to return. In fact, she felt compelled to return. She couldn’t leave behind the people that saw her grow, helped her grow, been there through every joyous and every terrible moment. It was her responsibility to return.
+ Shortly after her return, Order members took an interest in Grace's journalistic abilities and her history with working not only on the Daily Timestopper, but different publications through Europe. Without informing Ashton, they hired Grace as a consultant/informant to work undercover at The Daily Prophet in London. They assured her that she would always have protection and be kept safe from harm. The catch to the deal was that she would have to leave immediately. Without an owl or a word to Warren, Ash, or any of her other close friends, Grace left Austria.
+ For almost a year, she worked for the Daily Prophet with no issues. She discovered information on whereabouts and clues about Death Eater plans and meetings. When the year was almost up, she was exiting her apartment in London when she felt a blow to her head and lost consciousness. She awoke to a dark, log cabin room and three Death Eaters hovering over her.
+ For a month, Grace was held captive, tortured, and prodded for information. In that time, she overheard secrets and information, making a mentally note of each bit. She was determined to escape. Her weak sense of self and her inability to protect herself was lost and gave way to a strong willed, hard working, and brave side of herself she had never seen. She knew that if she didn't give in after a few weeks, they would draw out her memories and leave her memory less.
+ While they tortured her when she didn't respond to her questions about the Order or her past, they rewarded her good behavior with easier, servant duties. After a month, Grace was carrying platters to and from the kitchen, when she didn't return to the dining room. By the time the Death Eaters realized she was missing, Grace had left the headquarters and ran into the forest, apparating back tot he Order headquarters in London.
+ While she felt proud of herself for escaping from the Death Eaters, Grace's sense of naivety and trustful tendencies evaporated. She trusted few, and certainly not most of those at the headquarters of the Order in London. Convinced that there had been a spy working for them, she made arrangements to come back to Austria at once. Only then would she share what she had learned, with the Order members she knew were indefinitely true.
