Playing Quidditch- Even though his studies take up most of his time, he still finds an opportunity to get out on his broom.
Running- This is Matt’s guilty pleasure. Whenever life gets to be a lot or he needs to blow off steam he runs around the grounds. This is the only reason he stays in peak physical condition.
Studying- Keeping his grades up is very important to Matt; it’s one of the few things that translates when talking to his parents about school. If his grades are up and he’s still happy, then his parents are happy.
Personality and Traits:
Matt possesses a kind heart, and you can see that in every aspect of his personality. He smiles and laughs often because he believes there isn’t enough happiness in the world right now, something he wants to see changed. He’s learned to balance his studies with maintaining his friendships now, and his desire to keep his new friends has led to a deep loyalty to them and a willingness to give everyone the second chance that he found when he got his letter. He’s become much more laid-back and more personable, leading to him being liked by most in the other houses.

Matt stands at 6’1.” His frame isn’t slender, but isn’t bulky at the same time. He has a shaggy haircut that’s dirty blonde and blue eyes, just a normal blue. His face is dominated by an angular nose and full lips, but this by no means makes him unattractive.

Matt was born in Innsbruck, Austria in 1996 to Claudia and Markus Dreher. The two had met at university and married soon after. The couple was overjoyed to be starting a family at the same time that Markus was graduating with a degree in engineering. Preferring to raise her children herself, Claudia decided that she was going to stay at home and raise their newborn son. They were blessed with a second child, Adrianna, three years later.
About eight years after Matthias was born the couple noticed strange things beginning to happen. Books would fall off the shelves if Matt became excited, toys would fly across the room after being taken away for picking on his younger sister, and, most frighteningly, the stove would catch fire when the young boy became angry. Frightened by these events, the family moved twice before giving in to the idea that these strange incidents were actually caused by the young Matthias.
Matt struggled in primary school because the children around him made fun of him. He was often sent to the principal’s office for fighting with those who had called him a freak. He eventually found solace in his studies and began to excel in his schooling, though he still struggled to make friends. He changed schools a few times because his spats with the other children.
On his eleventh birthday, the family was shocked to find an owl tapping repeatedly against the window and strange woman standing at the door. She went on to explain that Matthias was a wizard and invited to attend his schooling at Hogwarts Galaxia. Unbelieving at first, they slowly became convinced and agreed.
Matt’s life became very different upon entering Galaxia. There was an entire world that he knew nothing about, but was suddenly a member of. He threw himself into his studies, fascinated by his reality that many children only dream of existing. He found himself in a kind house and as he grew older he devoted himself to making others feel as welcome. He developed himself into a role-model for the younger students and is making plans to go into working for the Ministry.
