Liya stood in front of the mirror in her dingy hotel room fresh out of the shower as she thought lazily about what she was going to wear that evening. She was running out of outfit possibilities, given that she was only able to haphazardly pack a small suitcase before leaving home. She shook her wet hair a few times and frowned, that place had never been home, merely a place she had lived for most of her life. She was going to have to buy more clothes soon, and find a place to live for that matter. She threw the towel over the corner of the door and walked into the main part of her temporary living situation. It wasn’t the highest quality hotel, she knew that regardless of her lack of travel experience, but it would do for another week or so. There were no roaches or other undesirable creatures that she could tell, and it was cheap enough; it would do. She leaned over the suitcase sitting on the corner of the bed and picked through her clothes. Picking out a few possibilities, she chewed absently on the inside of her cheek. She grabbed a few items that she had pulled out and walked back into the bathroom for the mirror. As she held them up to her body she moved her head from side to side trying to decide exactly how she wanted to look today. She finally settled on a pair of striped pants and a cropped bustier. She didn’t think that a jacket would be necessary tonight; because of her newly acquired talents she hadn’t had as much of a need for a jacket as she used to. Running a hand through her hair as she walked back out of the bathroom, she glanced at the calendar she had pinned to the wall to count how many days she had to find a quiet place in a nice forest area, how many days until the full moon, just a few more days. Tomorrow. Tomorrow, she would force herself back down from the high living a new life provided and start to get serious about staying here. Tonight however, tonight she had one more building to explore before the vacation-like aspect of this week ended. Grabbing some money from her small stash, she placed it in her shirt, the safest place on her person, and walked out into in the hotel lobby. The concierge behind the desk stared openly at her bared stomach for a few seconds, and she smiled slightly was she walked out, satisfied in her outfit choice.
Liya had made it a habit to walk into a few different buildings every day, that way eventually she will have familiarized herself with her favourite part of the country so far: Aluzbra Alley. She had been wandering fairly aimlessly after having gotten off the long and complicated train ride from Ukraine to Austria, partially from shock and partially from feeling conflicting feelings of loss and triumph, and had meandered her way into the heavily populated alleyway. Regardless of the colder weather, she had found that there were always large amounts of people out and crowds always made her feel more secure. She had a talent for disappearing in them, and though the chances were slim that he would chase her to Austria, she was careful because her father was a vengeful man. She had managed to walk into and through all but four buildings so far, and the last one she was going to hit today was the one she had been waiting to since she had first walked past it’s strange exterior. Today, the last building on the list was the one with no windows. She leaned against a light post and watched from across the street, observing the people going in and out and trying to discern the purpose of the building. The people didn’t seem very special or seem to have a specific reason she that could tell, so it must be a perfectly safe building to go in. She looked down to double check that she didn’t look dishevelled or anything. She walked across the street purposefully, slipping easily between the bodies that surrounded her until she came to the door. She walked through it following a boy in his late teens that smelled like another wolf. She was surprised by the differences between the face of the building and the inside. And even more surprised by the bouncer at the top of the stairs that only looked her in the eyes before nodding her in. She hesitated momentarily, her eyes lowering out of habit; any other time she met the eyes of a man, she ended up hit for it later. As soon as she realized what she had done, her head snapped up. That was a habit she would have to break, she was no longer at home; she didn’t need to pretend to be demure. That wasn’t who she was.
Liya walked down the stairs cautiously, walking a little slower down the stairs than the people around her who seemed more familiar with this place. She started to hear the slight pulsing of heavy bass now; her head cocked to the side as she wondered how thick the walls needed to be to muffle the sound. The further she descended the louder the music became, and thicker the crowd of people grew. Her steps faltered slightly, and she stood still for a moment merely looking around. There were just so many different things going on at the same time, her eyes couldn’t move fast enough to take it all in. She looked from the people dancing together, to those who were standing around the bar waiting for and sipping on drinks, to the hallways leading down to darker areas that she would explore later. All the strange smells that went along with what she was seeing overwhelmed her for a moment; heightened senses was not something that was easy to get used to. She scrunched her nose for a second in confusion as a completely unfamiliar scent assaulted her. It wasn’t the fact that it was unfamiliar that had her confused, it was the small whine she felt in the back of her mind in reaction to the scent. She couldn’t even describe what it smelled like, the closest thing she could come up with was especially terrible body odour. Shaking her head once, she inhaled again but just couldn’t get rid of the scent so she shrugged and walked into what looked to be the main part of the club. The music pounded through her whole body and a grin slid across her face, the previous confusion vanishing. This was definitely her new favourite place in Austria. With every step further into this part of the club, her excitement grew exponentially. She felt the eyes on her as she meandered into the throng of people dancing against each other, and revelled in it as she slid between the bodies. Her grin widened, if they liked what they saw now she couldn’t wait for the stares when she started dancing. Her hips had already started to follow along to the beat as she had stepped into the throng of people. She generally danced by herself when she had been able to sneak out for the night, it was so short notice that she couldn't plan anything with her friends. And as she got older, she found that there weren't often people in the club that could keep up with her. She generally danced by herself when she had been able to sneak out for the night, it was so short notice that she couldn't plan anything with her friends. And as she got older, she found that there weren't often people in the club that could keep pace with her. As the song she came in on faded into the next one, she allowed her eyes to drift shut and her movements to become more impulsive. The turn of her hips was led by movement of her arm was followed by a toss of her hair. A contented smile settled on her face as the music filled her mind completely and she let go of the worries of finding a place to live, finding a job, and finding a place she could go on the full moon. She let go and just danced.
