At the time, it was the most expensive thing he had ever sold so he wanted to commemorate it.
appearance Noah dresses casual fifty percent of the time and then business attire the other fifty. For his casual wear, he is usually found in a dark shirt with jeans. He doesn’t mind bright colors but he just thinks he looks better in dark ones. On business trips, he is always found in a collared button down shirt with a dinner jacket with matching pants. Again, he sticks to dark colors as he feels in this sense they make him look more intimidating.

He’s a hand-talker, including throwing out his arms when he’s really excited about something. There is no denying though the love he is so easily able to show to his beloved Emmeline and their son Lukas. He’s affectionate with his fiancée and a hands-on Dad to his son. In the business/gambling world, Noah is still equally charming not afraid to get his hands dirty. He loves his money so he’s got a dark side he isn’t afraid to show when he feels he’s getting scammed. He can be cold and calculated. He’s also a vengeful son of a bitch who stops at nothing to serve “justice” to those who have scorned him.

family history Noah Elias Eklund was born in the small, lakeside town of Sigtuna, Sweden to two very ordinary parents. Staffan and Agneta Eklund were a lower-class couple of no known magical origin. Staffan worked as a groundskeeper for Skokloster Castle, making practically below minimum wage. Agneta was diagnosed with a medical condition, which would later be found to be COPD, in the 60s. Agneta, being unable to receive proper treatment for her condition due to lack of funds, was forced to stay at home as exercise tended to exasperate her already poor oxygen levels. Lack of physical activity also weakened Agneta’s muscles and joints making standing for long periods of time extremely difficult.

The family struggled to make ends meet. Staffan worked as much as he could but his pay could only provide for so much. The option to take on a second job was unavailable due to the family having no means of transportation. Noah still somehow flourished and grew to be a happy and outgoing child, a beacon of sunshine for the troubles of Staffan and Agneta. Despite the oddities of the boy, the couple loved their son dearly. A bit of a late bloomer, peculiar things began happening around Noah after his seventh birthday. A neighbors dog’s tail caught on fire after it had pushed the young boy over. A bully, who often made fun of Noah for his tattered clothing, broke out in itchy hives after pulling his arm. Noah even turned his hair bright red one day after looking at a bright red toy truck and thinking about how much he liked the color. The strange occurrences would eventually be explained upon the family receiving Noah’s letter of acceptance into Durmstrang Institute. A representative of the school had been sent to the Eklund’s home the day after Noah’s tenth birthday.

Although the financial struggle became even more burdensome, Staffan managed to scrape up enough extra galleons to purchase his son’s textbooks and uniform for the following semester. A few days before his 11th birthday, Noah’s parents dropped him off at a local dock and under the guidance of the same school representative, the young boy walked into an old fisherman’s shanty and ran into the back wall with his belongings, ultimately exposing a magical dock with a enormous ship that would take him and several other students to the unknown whereabouts of Durmstrang.

Throughout the four years he attended, Noah was an average student. Often getting in trouble for not paying attention in class or flirting with girls. His classmates envied his ability to get out of detentions though with a captivating smile and slick words of apology. Durmstrang also provided his first look into the world of Dark Arts. His favorite class being the Study of Ancient Ruins and the Dark Magic artifacts that were discovered from expeditions. Unfortunately, at the completion of Noah’s fourth year, his father lost his job. At the ripe age of fifteen, Noah made the decision to drop out of Durmstrang and focus on assisting his family. He found a few odd jobs here and there, never ultimately finding one that was his niche. Though at the time, making money was more important then finding something he was good at. The jobs never lasted long. Like his school days, Noah often got in trouble for stealing or speaking his mind when he felt he was being taken advantage of.

The job that led him to his current career started innocently enough. Noah had started working at a busboy for a local restaurant. Offering to stay and clean up after the restaurant had been rented out to the night, he had just finished up when loud noises from a back room prevented him from leaving. Upon opening the door, Noah was surprised to see a secret poker game that included magic and a magical creature in a cage…his first exposure to magic since leaving school. He quickly came to find out that his boss, Hugo Nordin, was also a wizard. Nordin owned the restaurant as a front for his illegal gambling and trade ring. Perhaps out of pity, or fear of being ratted on, Hugo (who Noah would soon dub Ol’ Nordy) took the young man under his wing and taught him the tricks of the trade. By the end of the year, Noah had managed to make enough money to pay the family bills and then some. By the end of the next year, he managed to successfully purchase his parents a new home. Following Nordy’s advice, Noah began an apprenticeship with a local antiques dealer to launder his dirty money.

Noah began his own business at the age of 20 and quickly grew amongst the ranks of notable Black Market magic dealers. He was introduced to his now assistant, Mikkhal Turgenev, two years later. The two quickly became close as Mikkhal’s experience with dark magic knowledge and security were things Noah lacked in. Mikkhal was able to oversee Noah’s business in his absence after Ol’ Nordy’s heart attack and resulting death upon Mikkhal’s one year anniversary with Noah’s company. His assistant also looked after the 23 year old during his downward spiral with drugs, alcohol and late night card circles. Since then, there isn’t a single person he trusts more than Mikkhal besides his parents.
Noah is a savvy businessman whose reputation has only grown as he’s aged. He is one of the most sought after dealers in the Dark magic world as he has the ability to secure things that most can’t. He is difficult to reach and only responds when he sees an opportunity that benefits him. Noah is currently in search of the next big deal, as he always is, and securing his name as THE most reputable dealer in the magical world.
