It has been some time since the Dark Lord made himself known to the Austrian wizarding world. His DeathEaters have been roaming the earth, striking fear in the hearts of wizards and muggles alike. The Ministry’s across the world are turning to Austria for help, for advice on how to take care of their unwelcome guests. Minister Wagner has been newly appointed with the hopes that he will find a way to rid the world of the Dark Lord and his DeathEaters. He brings with him a fresh perspective and a good track record of completing anything he sets his mind to. This change in leadership has Austrians excited, hoping that soon they will be able to walk out of their homes without any concerns of a Dark Lord, no wondering where he will strike next, if at all.
Because that is the question on everyone’s mind. It has been a year since the Dark Lord himself has made an appearance, since he has launched a large attack on the world or made an attempt at overthrowing the Ministry. Most people have assumed he was in hiding, allowing his DeathEaters to do his dirty work. However, as the activity of the DeathEaters slows, rumors are spreading that the Dark Lord has resigned himself from destroying the Ministry. Even his DeathEaters are beginning to grow tired of wreaking havoc with no end game. Is he trying to lead the wizarding world into a false sense of security with the recent calm or has the Dark Lord really left?
Only the DeathEaters now know the truth. There is a new Dark Lord. Godfrey Dunhill has taken his place as Dark Lord, overthrowing the inactive Darren Morgan. Even though he has just come to power, he already has a plan in the works. Soon he will make his name known. Soon he will show the wizarding world across the globe that he has no intentions of losing. But what does he want? What is it that he’s looking to gain? And, the ultimate question. What side of this battle will you choose?
Krum was cool. He was one of my most favorite characters in the fourth book. I always loved reading how he always said Hermionie's name. He barely said anything, same with Fleur.
All these girls were talking through the movie. God... I hate them so much. XXD
OMFG! -Is still crying- I mean, WOW. I screamed when Voldie killed Cedric, but then I started sobbing hysterically, all through the rest of the movie. My mom even cried. And during the first and third task, I was curled up in my seat, with my hood on, and I was shaking.. I screamed like 5 times..
Victor Krum = HOTT!!..I thought he'd be ugly.
Bath Scene = HOTTT! -Wolf whistle- Damn Harry, take it off, TAKE IT ALLLLL OFF! -Cough- ;D ;D ;D ;D Every girl in the theater was like, screaming.. I was, lmao.
The special effects were amazing; the casting of Krum, Fluer, and Cedric really fitted how I pictured the characters when I read the book; parts that were meant to be funny were hysterical ("Oh my God!!! I killed Harry Potter!!!"); parts that were meant to be dramatic/dark/creepy were just as so; Harry in the tub, well *swoons*; and overall I think it's the best one out thus far.
Now, this is just my opinion, but I think the character of Voldemort could have been played out better. Voldemort was just not convincing me; he didn't strike me as he did in the book, that and he could have looked a whole lot creepier. But that's just me.
Yes, I'm a critic...
Still, the movie version of Goblet of Fire really impressed me. Hard to follow if you have not read the books, but an amazing cinematic vision.
Now, Harry Potter and the PMS-ing Through the Whole Boo - I mean "Order of the Phoenix", may prove disappointing as a film as it did a book, but we'll just have to wait and see. Right now, Goblet of Fire, IMO, is the best film yet.
Ok so I don't know if it's my overactive head just pretending to see things, but at the World cup in the beginning Harry and Ginny are standing next to each other and I find it so cute. Or the way Ginny looks at Harry when Hermione plays 'owl' between Ron and Harry down by the lake? I dunno.....I'm stoked for Harry/Ginny stuff whenever HBP movie comes out.
Ginny was a bitch in the last book. She used to be so nice, but lately she has just been a bitch. ^^;; She yelled and was nasty to Hermione, when she used to be good friends with her. She also put a spell on Harry... I had to look through it again to pick it up when I was told about it, but Harry doesn't truley love Ginny. Ginny put a love spell on him. You have to read HBP again and read how he feels around the love potion in potion class( also what he smells) and read when he is around Ginny. It so obvious when you look at it again. I'm anti Harry/Ginny and Harry/Hermione shipping. XXD I love making fun of the Harry/Hermione shippers. S. S. Hermony! lol
I think I am the only one who still thinks the third one is the best. -.-' Now I end my rant... for now.
It's not that its bad, its just that it could've been better. XXD You should see it though.... Snape hits Harry and Ron in the head for no reason. Thats the best part in the movie. Also the "OMG I killed Harry Potter!" lol *shifty eyes* I'm not Billeh...<.< I'm Kite the Twilight Dragon. o.O;; How do you know its the same Billeh? *raises eyebrow* I scare myself. -.-' Whats up Kyo?
meh not much, doing a stupid 40 mark business essay at 1:15 in the morning which is duein tomorrow x___x probably going to go for a ciggy in like 10 minutes in the toilets with my neighbour #
Tis very... bored. I was watching the movie "Christmas with the Kranks." I was on the floor laughing at the ham scene. There is just something funny about old ladies in super markets. I'm ticked off at my history teacher.... for reasons.
lol good point, anyway I'm going to bed now, gonna do it in the morning during break time and lunch time hehehe ttyl Billeh ^___^ and good luck in your tests, (easiest way for them is to cheat xP)
I was personally severly disappointed I was really looking forward to this movie and it turned out to be not as good as I expected. I expected for it to have a lot of parts come out. But I expected for the littler parts to be cut out, but I mean you have to admit they cut some really important parts out.
I don't want to ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it yet so I won't say what parts they left out. They completely cut a main character, and a few other important factors from the book. That might be just because I'm a die hard book fan of all books and hate seeing them chopped into movies but over all they could have left some parts out they put in for amusements and put in important parts. But ah well that's just my opinion.
Sry to ruin the whole it was a great movie thing I'm sure it would have been a great movie if I hadn't read the books. But even if you didn't read the books you would probably get totally lost in what was going on, since it jumped around so much.
